Blackberry
If you are getting a smartphone and are on AT&T get an iPhone. If T-mobile get a Google MyTouch. Blackberries in my opinion are for business not pleasure. The internet is a pain to navigate and you probably won't end up using it much. Also any Windows Mobile phone is pretty nice I had one for two years before just recently switching to an iPhone. I will never look back. I hate Apple but the iPhone is incredible.

Buying phone on ebay?
Be careful with any unlocked phones especially if you are going to be using data on them. You may have to call ATT and talk to tech support to get all the correct data setting to be able to receive data on the phone. If you just need a cheap phone without renewing a contract or renewing isn't available go to walmart and pick up on of the AT&T Go Phones. Just put your SIM card in and it will work.

Spinnerbaits? Swimbaits? Oh my
Throw both. Use a small 4" or 3.5" paddle tail style hollow belly soft plastic swimbait as a spinnerbait trailer.

Impeller Change Tips
Wow that was way to easy. I can't believe anyone would pay $140+ for a shop to do this. It didn't take me more than 30 minutes to complete.

Found Lost Crankbait!
this has happened to me twice. Once was when a bigger fish broke me off on a tree while throwing a topwater. Later that day I found the topwater floating in the water. Another time I was fishing a small pond under some power lines when a long cast that went too high got caught in the power lines. I had to cut the line and I assume eventually the line finally gave way and the spinnerbait dropped into the pond. Probably 6 months later my fishing buddy and I were fishing the same lake when he snagged my spinnerbait with his crankbait. I was totally surprised when he pulled it in.

Impeller Change Tips
I've read that it doesn't matter because, it will correct itself when the motor is run for the first time after the change but I will probably do that anyway.

Impeller Change Tips
I'm going to try my first impeller change this weekend. I have never done one before but I have watched a few videos online and read up on it some. I really don't like the idea of paying a shop an hour of labor for something that I know takes them 20 minutes to complete. Those of you who change your own impeller, do you have any tips before I attempt this job this weekend. My motor is a 2004 Tohatsu 4-Stroke 30hp.

Tohatsu Motor
Tohatsu makes new Merc engines from 9.9 down. Over 9.9 up to, I think, 40, are made by Yamaha. Over that and they are made by Merc. This according to a Merc service rep I talked to. Either way all these Merc Lovers drive me insane becuase they aren't even buying Mercury.

Tohatsu Motor
I have a 2004 30hp Tohatsu 4-Stroke and I love my motor. Tohatsu makes Nissan and Tohatsu also makes I believe the lower HP Mercury motors. I think 30hp and under. A mercury dealer told me this.

Father, Son Drown In Fishing Tourney Men Fell Off Boat On Lake Okeechobee, Officials Say POSTED: Monday, September 7, 2009 OKEECHOBEE, Fla. -- Authorities said two boaters who drowned this weekend during a fishing tournament were father and son. Family members said 67-year-old William Reed and his 38-year-old son John Reed were experienced fishermen. Authorities pulled the bodies from the water Saturday during a bass fishing tournament on Lake Okeechobee. The men apparently fell from their boat shortly after the start of the Christian Team Trails Fishing Tournament. Neither man was wearing a life jacket. William Reed was found shortly after 8 a.m. He was rushed to shore but later died. His son's body was discovered nearly an hour later.

Microsft Police virus
Yeah that is possible but creating a simple delete .bat file and setting it to run as a scheduled task at log on is just as easy.

Microsft Police virus
Sometimes the malware that is on your computer will restrict the use of programs like malware bytes. I was working on an employees computer recently that wouldn't allow any malware removal tool to be run, additionally Malwarebytes wouldn't run in safe mode. I couldn't access task manager. Spybot would run in safe mode but would get rid of this particular malware. I ended up have to create a .bat file that ran as scheduled task at log on to delete the folder that the malware's .exe was in. This was one of the worst malwares I had come across.

Took the BB plunge
Not available in this area for at least another 15-18 months. And even then, I don't think I would want one. I'm not a fan of touch screens. I used to feel the same way about touch screen phones and I have fat short fingers and I find the phone very easy to use. Probably the best phone I have ever had. The free apps are cool too.

Flat bottom boats
Carolina Skiff J16 might be your best bet. I can easily fish 3 people out my J16. The front deck is large enough that I can fish two people off of it or 1 on the front deck one in the middle and one on the back deck. You will also save money on fuel becuase the max HP on a J16 is 40hp and that will get you about 30mph WOT. They are also indestructable boats. I love my boat.

Lake Monroe in Central Flroida - St. Johns River
Actually, in most of the river right now the water is up. The water is about 2 ft above normal for this time of year over the past couple of years. Lake Monroe is a great fishery at the right times. The east side of the lake can be good as well as the flat that opens up into Debary Creek. The water quality will play a big part in this though. The best times for this lake are the Winter and Spring.

Stick Marsh/Farm 13
I agree that the marsh is a very difficult place to fish if you don't what you are doing or where to go. If you do decide to go it alone be very careful and always wear your PFD. The first time I went we didn't land a single bass in the 3 days we fished. We had a few hooked but didn't land any. Of course this was before the hurricanes of 2004 took out all the vegetation. The next two trips I made down there shiners were the bait of choice and we were catching around 30 fish per day with many more misses. Our best of the 3 day trip was 10lbs. We got lucky and found a spot out in the middle with two seperate bullrush piles and the fish were stacked up on these.

Help. Aerated cooler livewell for a 12' aluminum boat
Or you can save yourself some money and use two D battery operated portable aerators to provide oxygen to your livewell. I did this for 2 years in a small boat tournament and never once lost a fish. We had some 5lbers in the livewell too.

lake jessup
I have always heard that Jessup is a bass black hole. We used to run tournaments out of the ramp right off of 46 under the bridge and there wasn't one boat in our tx that ever ventured into Lake Jessup. I would suggest either going to Lake Harney or Lake Monroe and skip Jessup. There is supposed to be a very good bluegill and crappie population in the lake though. I really don't know why there aren't very many bass in Jessup. It is also a big and fairly shallow lake.
