  1. Ive never dealt with them but good luck finding any parts unless it is a prop for your early 90's trolling motor. Minn Kota told me they stop making parts after only a few years becuase it is too expensive.
  2. In the past I have used a short piece of 40lb mono looped in half and then used electrical tape to secure it to the rod. I have probably 3 rods that have had these type of hook keepers on them and they have all lasted at least 3 years. I also find it is easier to unhook certain types of baits using the mono compared to the factory hook keepers.
  3. Zero here also. I got a great deal on my boat. 2004 Carolina Skiff J16 with a 2004 Tohatsu 30hp 4-Stroke. Paid cash for it and all the parts needed to fix it up when I got it. I don't think I would ever need a boat payment. I considered it before I found this deal, but I'm glad I didn't.
  4. Ryobi One+ 18v. You can get a Cordless Drill, Circular Saw, 2 batteries and a charger for like $100. The have like 10 different types of tools that can use the batteries.
  5. I recently caught a 24.5" bass and it weighted around 7.
  6. there is way more to it than that. It is actually fairly hard.
  7. I just got out of the room. That was addicting.
  8. lead lights sound pretty heavy...probably mean led lights.
  9. I think IE8 is ok, probably a little bit faster than IE7 but I have problems with new tabs not working correctly that page taking a very long time to load or not loading at all. This also happens with new windows also. Firefox 3.5 just recentely came out and it has some nice new features. I think I may start using it more.
  10. white and that looks amazing.
  11. WTRDOG does the speaker and amplifier run off of batteries or 12v?
  12. I use a battery powered drill and a dowel rod to strip line off my reels. Depending on how much line is on the reels it is really fast.
  13. $20.00 to ship one reel is ridiculous.
  14. Go pick the boat up and take it somewhere else. I understand it is a busy time of year but, simple things like should not take a month to complete. I had to have my carbs cleaned about 3 months ago in the beginning of the boaitng season here in Central FL and it only took 3 days to get it done.
  15. I have caught one fish on the Spro BBZ and have had two hits on it. All hits/fish have been on the floater. The one fish I did catch on it was about 11 inches maybe and hit the lure in the dark. I had a lot of hits that night (I think) it was dark and I couldn't see the bait and would feel some slight ticks. I throw the bait at least a few times on each trip and don't usually get much action on the bait.
  16. I was reading an article about this the other day and all gas has additives in it. The article stated that the amount of additive in those specialy gases from shell and chevron may only contain a pint of the special additive in a whole trucker tank of gas. Not much to make an impact I wouldn't think.
  17. Another Florida Fisherman here born and raised.
  18. sounds like bad/gummed up carbs. Are you sure you rebuilt them correctly?
  19. It would probably help if you actually told us what the site was.
  20. BigE take the reel back to Bass Pro. A lot of times it doesn't matter if it is out of warranty. My buddy had a Rick Clunn reel that he had for probably 3 years. He went to BPS and started talking to one of the guys at the reel counter and they just exchanged it for a brand new one, no questions asked.
  21. Parking lots are a little bit different than a regular street cross walk. First you shouldn't really be going any faster than 5 mph in a parking lot so you aren't looking for a car that is 30 to 50 yards away that could hit you before you get across the street. Any car that is traveling around 5 mph you would be able to see with your perfferial (sp?) vision and be safe to cross the parking lot. Also you should be expecting and watching for many more people crossing a parking lot crosswalk than a regular street crosswalk.
  22. new fishfinder. Look at the Humminbird 565 best fish finder for the money. They also have a 535 and 525 that are very good for the money. I have a 565 on my boat and a 535 portable that I use on my jon boat.
  23. That amount of rain is nothing. We got up 30" in some places in Central Florida in a weeks time about a month ago.
  24. From what I read the family wanted $$$. I'm sure he is paying a few million to the family of the deceased. The judge stated that he takes the family's wishes into account when sentencing. I still think he should be doing more time.
  25. this used to happen to me in college and even some after college. I would sleep to much and get what I call mushy brain, you know you got enough sleep but you are still tired all day. YOu can get into a real funk when this starts to happen because it is hard to get out of because, if you don't have any reason to get up everyday after only 7 or 8 hours of sleep (i.e. work) you will never break the cycle. Try setting an alarm clock for 7 or 8 hours after you plan to go to bed and get up at that time and have some sort of activity planned. That should help and if it doesn't go see your doctor, but don't just let him give you some pill, there is way too much of that going on when small lifestyle changes can make a huge difference. Just recently I started working out after I got off work and have been able to stay up to 11 or 12pm but before I started working out I could barely stay up until 10pm and I have to get up at like 7:15 in the morning. so I was getting to much sleep.
