  1. Most of the people I know who hunt and/or fish are older than me too. That could mean younger folks aren't interested (which is correct to an extent), but it could be that older folks have more time for things like hunting & fishing. 3 out of the 4 people I have regularly fished with over the past few years are retired. They could fish every day, but I work 5 days a week. One day I hope to be in their situation.
  2. Your trips are always described so throroughly, and thoughtfully it makes me feel like I'm right there with you. You're an excellent writer, wonderful photographer, and quite the impressive angler. Thank you for taking us along for the ride, Katie.
  3. Nice fish @Swamp Girl. It's crazy how different the weather is in various parts of the country. Our northern friends are talking about frost, and end of seasons, while those of us in the south are just starting to get into the fall pattern. Today is the first day that our high temp hasn't been 80+ since April or May.
  4. Smoke on the water, full moon in the background, and sun shining on fat smallies. Looks like a good day @A-Jay.
  5. Nice fish, and beautiful pictures Katie. I love the fall colors reflecting on the water.
  6. Happy birthday, @DaubsNU1!
  7. Prayers for a good result, and quick recovery!
  8. @TnRiver46 Wow, that looks good.
  9. Congrats, @Bluebasser86!
  10. I ran this prompt for my local lake just to see what it said. It came back with the names of legitimate locations that I have fished. The problem is that 3 of the 5 coordinates were not even in the water...not even close. One coordinate was in a different state. Be sure to check your coordinates before you get on the water.

If the dividers stay down well enough to hold hooks I’m going to want some of those boxes.
  12. Congrats! Nice fish.
  13. Sounds like a great day.
  14. I don’t know the weight, but that is a very nice fish! It looks massive in the picture with the kids. Congrats on the catch!
  15. Is it month to month, or do you have to sign up for a year? If it's month to month, and I can ditch it as soon as football season is over I might be interested.
  16. I like the Strike King compact double willow. I caught both of these on one in the past year. A 5 lber in a friend's pond, and a 4 lber from the river. They're not extremely durable, but they go on sale a lot, and they work well for me.
  17. The only way to judge the recommendations it made is to fish the spots it suggested. I'd imagine it's pulling info from online fishing reports, and tournament results. We do the same thing. We just ask friends, or manually search the reports for various lakes.
  18. That's no fun to put in an AI prompt. There's one area where a human will always be better...well, most humans anyway. 😂
  19. Sorry that happened to your mom. Prayers for a speedy recovery.
  20. Sounds like a tough year. Glad you're improving. I had a good friend who had breathing problems that it took a long time to diagnose. They initially thought it might be lung cancer, but it turned out to be a fungal infection. It took him a long time to get back to normal, but he did. Hang in there, keep doing what you're supposed to, and press for answers if what's being done doesn't make sense, or isn't working for you.
  21. Well done! Nice to see your whopper plopper working again.
  22. Same here, brother!
  23. Congrats on the new PB @WaskaCrank12!
  24. I’m late for the party, but I would’ve said the chop. Hard to go wrong with either of those choices though. I bet it was good.
  25. Happy Birthday, @A-Jay!
