  1. I used to fish in Windsor for musky and smallies. Now I’m about 7-8hrs away but if I go back there I’ll let you know.
  2. Just came across this before I bought the rod. Would have preferred the 68L as recommended but I’m hoping the 69ML do what I need. Or close too is fine with me. I just plan to use it for river fishing here when I go wading. here’s hoping I made an OK choice. Tough one because there isn’t much out there on either rods.
  3. Just picked up a Major Craft Volkey 69ML BFS rod. With coupons on the auction site, ended up costing me $38 and it looks to be in great condition. I’ll give that a go with the PX-R and finesse spool. rated 1/16-1/14oz so come springtime I’ll see how it does. Hopefully it’ll do at least a few of the lures I plan to use!
  4. No budget in mind. I figure I’d have to spend a bit to have a good quality rod to sling lighter baits. Problem is there are no Phenix sellers in Canada that I can find so they’re pretty hard to come across and shipping over the border is insane. Also looked at the kistler hunt and same thing.
  5. I’ve been looking at the Major Craft Benkei rods actually. They’re worth it? Found some decent priced ones on the auction. Also had the poison adrena and expride on my radar. As a step lower, how are the Zodias? Amazing! That’s what I like to hear. I have never found a Phenix rod up here in Canada. I’ll have to keep looking.
  6. Good day everyone!! looking for suggestions for an UL or L casting rod. Hoping to cast evergreen gizmos, Megabass karashi’s and micro chatterbaits, micro jigs, ned rigs… blah blah blah… I have this daiwa PX-R sitting here not getting used and I have the PX68 finesse spool to use with it. Thinking I’ll use 8lbs braid. I like the reel but I have yet to find a rod to compliment it. I’ve had a couple ML rods for it but I felt they were underwhelming and didn’t perform as I had hoped however they were lower range rods so I’m thinking I need to go somewhat higher end. But really I don’t know. With Black Friday sales going up, been thinking maybe I should take a peak what’s out there. Open to any price range or difference suggestions in various price ranges. Also would consider finding something on the Japanese auctions for a decent price… after all that… I look forward to all your suggestions. Thanks!!
  7. im pretty sure i asked you before. Where do you order these bearings from in Japan?
  8. I’m in Canada. But the bill always came from fedex.
  9. I’ve order from JLS a bunch and they’ve always used fedex. A month later I get a customs and service bill from them so watch for that.
  10. don’t be silly. Get another one.
  11. Decided I wanted to get a used reel to try repainting as a winter project. Found a 2017 Scorpion DC that looked rough shape in the pictures. Cost me $28 off the auctions. Arrived yesterday in a huge tube. I thought something was up with the shipping cost but figured maybe it had something to do with shipping overseas to Canada now. Then paid $29 customs and service fees. Anyways…. turns out the guy shipped me out the reel on a 1st Gen Poison Adrena Rod in excellent condition.
  12. Such a tiny reel. Palms like a dream…. If dreams can be palmed
  13. I would 100% get one. I have a couple and they are one of my fav reels. They shouldn’t even have the slx name as they’re much more above that. They cast a mile and palm extremely well and are smooth as glass. I don’t need DC braking so it wasn’t appealing to me however I was curious how it was because on paper it looked great. You won’t be disappointed. I use them as much as my Zillion SV reels if not more and I like it a lot better than my 2019 Antares 70. (But FishTank knows my frustrations with that reel)
  14. Couldn’t have said it better myself…. Again. LoL
  15. Just not on the rods I was using lol. And I know it’s legit so I wanted to use the tat 80 and 100 for the season. I didn’t even use my steez’s much.
  16. I think they’re both excellent. I have barely used my ‘21 zillion SV this summer and as much as I like that reel, I wouldn’t be upset if I had only these tatulas to use from now on. They’ve held up very well.
  17. Let me guess. You like your gears buzzy? And unfortunate for you, shimanos micro module gears are rock solid and don’t buzz.
