Depends on the hook . For a light wire hook on a football head, 12# fluorocarbon is what I use most of the time .

Sorry I didn’t reply sooner. I just now saw your notification. No , it’s a different knot. I’ve pulled them against each other and the double SD wins every time. The double pitzen is a really good knot though

I would give a talk on being a good loser. I’m kind of an expert.

I like the Aaron Martens double uni for leaders. As far as terminal knots I alternate between the uni and the doubled San Diego depending on conditions.

I don’t gut them at all. Throw them on ice and let the meat firm up till the next morning , then fillet .
