  1. Looks like Cliff Shelby on the art work...(of Harry and Charlie fame)
  2. I have never heard that in my life! Even if they "could" stop every ounce of water at the Pickwick dam...there is another 300 creeks and rivers (maybe more) dumping water between Pickwick and the Ohio. I've heard "the cows are standing", "the sticks are floating vertical". I have a group of friends who will testify: "there on the rocks", "there on the wood". I always reply that "there under the water." This is a "no". One time I was fishing a 400 acre lake, in Stuttgart AK, that was used for duck hunting. It was loaded with bass. The grass was thick and a little hard to fish so and I started fishing a set of spooks I got from "Lure for Cure". About 50% of the time the fish would just knock the spook out of the water...it was like they were just having fun.
  3. Here is a snippet I came across awhile back...
  4. I'm not 100% on who makes this bait...but it got new paint. Going for that "Redeye" look...aka Rock Bass.
  5. What puzzles me the most is that some manufactures will use the most ludicrous material for a handle. The handle is the last key component to transmit a vibration to the hand. An old school aluminum reel seat is better than some (not all) of the stuff I see today.
  6. Typically no ...in most cases it a little better quality rod blank.
  7. Results from my field test...
  8. I think @Alex from GA is referring to the skeleton seat. Some people dont like the feel of one on a spinning rod.

I make it a point not to lend anything with an engine to anyone.

Heres a pretty good article: https://www.caranddriver.com/research/a31851426/what-is-e85-gas/
  11. @Glenn says to "keep it simple" and use whatever tackle works...
  12. Generally its about 20 inches from the spool on the reel. Sometime more...sometimes less. You should be able to see where the old wrapping was on the blank.
  13. I caught several good drum recently... Two on a paddle tale swim bait... Two on a Beaver...that initial tug is always...OMG...but hey...they do have a small mouth! That is a huge red-eye!...any guess on weight?
  14. I havent had to cut off too many reel seats....but I have installed grips from the back...and used drywall tape.
