  1. Q: Favorite green fish?
  2. It was not a very busy ramp...I did see a boat run past up that river....and was kind of waiting for him. But...I wanted to fish and took the plunge. Once everything was normal....I see the guy riding back down river and he yells that he lost his plug!
  3. Yes...parked it on the rock and put the PP down. Good thing noone was around...left everything on the ramp and went for a swim. Glad I can still pull my self up over the gunnel. I mostly use it when fishing grass... it been a weird fishing week.
  4. Not really sure what river your fishing...but I have caught bass in the middle of the river(s) small, med, and big. The attractions was: current, structure and bait. So...its a hunt. Today I caught fish deep and on the bank.
  5. Koz...do take some kind of spotlight to get the "other" boats attention. I am pretty sure the guy who missed me the other night was looking at his GPS.
  6. Dude...Last night, I'm idling into the channel on Percy Priest about to get on plane. I see a boat to my left about a 1/4 mile away. I look at the console...then look up and the guy is cutting across my bow, WOT, about 10 yards away. This is about as close to tragic as it gets. I spent a good part of the day looking at upgrading light systems to some brighter LED's. Will keep the 1,000,000 CP light handy next time. The number one cause of boating accidents in TN is "improper lookout". 2020 TN stats...and almost all of those are in the daytime!! I pick up one of these today too...
  7. I would modify it...make it suspend.
  8. That is somewhat correct....but I think your also making it set up faster too. There are other times when you want to heat it. In rod wrapping you can heat it AFTER you have applied it to the threads....this will help release some air bubbles coming from the tread. Then...sometimes when the resin and hardener are stored for a long time...the resin will begin to solidify. You can heat it up a bit and it will go back liquid. But I have never heated it before application.
  9. Dont use the 5 minute epoxy...other variations have a longer working times. Also...when you mix resin and hardener...it creates an exothermic reaction. You can slow this down by spreading the mix on a wider surface...like aluminum foil. And most certainly dont add any extra heat. To cover a lure...I would just mix like 1cc of each.
  10. I have been following this thread for some time... One thing about this particular incident @bigspirit is that you used PayPal. All that kind of transaction will do is just pay TW. It doesnt send any credit card information to TW...only the money. By no means am I making excuses for TW...it is obvious (IMO) that they do have (or have had) some serious security issues. So...how could this happen when you used PayPal?...is the question. Also had 2 texts on my phone for temporary security codes from when they were trying to login to my account. What account?
  11. There are log jams I fish where all you can do is flip.
  12. One version of the that would just be a "floatin' worm"
  13. Its been that way for a long time here...
  14. Longer rods aren't always tip heavy. Most of the bait casters I have will have a little bit longer handle and the reel will have heaver line...all adding up to a little more weight , getting it close(r) to balance. I start running into problems when I put an ultra light reel on a seven foot spinning rod with split grip...its a dance at times.
  15. Typically, I will build a rod as light as I can...but fishing a "top heavy" rod for a "tip up" technique just doesn't work well with me. Often, I find myself resorting back to a 6'6" or 6' rod...especially if you fish it all day. Usually this happens with spinning rods.
  16. My dad sucked...
  17. Pretty sure those are Fuji Alconite guides. If they took a good smack I would look at them close for cracks. They are tough...but ceramic.
  18. It is...actually...this motor has never been used.
  19. Is anyone familiar with a Clinton engine? This particular model is J200.
  20. I bet if you went (drifted) down the bank with a small white buzz bait...it would be on!
