I think most of the seats are good...but one thing I like to do is file down the trigger. I tend to palm that area at times. Kind of a snub trigger.

I actually have the 101B.... I noticed yesterday that, at times, when I would make a cast...It seemed that the centrifugal force was actually turning on brakes that were originally off. I was looking at the brake collars and they appear to be OK. It almost looks like the (black ring that hold the brakes) collar housing has worn tabs for the off position. Really just curious if this is a known issue with this real of not... I've had it awhile and have put some miles on it...actually got two.

I like it. I think the little "imperfections" say "custom built". Sometimes (like on a crankbait rod) I will put a hook keeper in the split grip area.

I loved the Cardinal 3...I fished them up until just a few years ago.

I've done quite a bit this year....year of the chevron.

I make it a point to net stuff I ride by on the lake. I like to think that the fishing gods will smile on me days when its tuff.

Yes...I "was" fishing Pflueger Trions and had upgrade to Pflueger President because Trion removed the AR switch. I really like the Presidents....I was looking for something "cheaperish" because I have like 11 spinning rods and like that there all the same.

I hate to break it to ya like this...A smallmouth can spawn several times till early summer. They will move out to deeper water once the temps get into the 60's. The good news is that bass will do their thing at different intervals. So while some are starting to spawn...some are finishing.
