Don't recall the last time I got skunked, which is explained by being good at catching little bass and pickerel. When I get bored trying to get big guys I go down in bait size, hence the little fish.

Played a lot as a kid, then nothing for 50 years +/-. This past winter my 16 yo grandson asked if I wanted to play, so I did, guess who won. He creamed me.

Never tried dry needling but I have had my fair share of regular needles, from allergy shots, to home self injections. To me the hardest was the foot cortisone shot, I was jumping as soon as the doc touched my foot. I told him he'd have to strap it down to stop it from jumping, kind of like when they check your knee reflexes.

I've been making breads for years, mostly Jewish Rye for Rubens after the local bread shop closed. Started doing artisan bread about a year ago going by the Flour Water Salt Yeast book, maybe a loaf a week until I had 2 teeth removed. Pretty easy for top notch bread if you have a dutch oven but it has a hard crust, which means no more bread till my implants are done. My wife is the real baker int he family, all I do is bread.

This one... When I last weighed one of my spinnerbaits with trailer it was a tad over .75 oz.

Hand/knuckle arthritis has made it where I can no longer hold the line while casting heavier baits with a spinning reel, I thinking a baitcaster might help but I suck at them. I'm having problems casting the older hand me down AG Premier RVO3 I have without a birds nest every 2nd or 3rd cast, ok, sometimes it's every cast. Worked at it a couple days this week, like I do every year, with the same results so I started looking into an easier to use reel, if one exists. The articles I'm reading mention the SLX DC as being rookie friendly. Shimano says "Shimano’s unique DC Braking technology, "SLX DC puts no compromise casting performance within every angler's reach". Being an angler, they're saying it'll work for me. Whew Hoo, give em $200 and no more bird nests. Well, maybe. I'm thinking of a ride to Cabela's tomorrow to get one but don't know which gear ratio to get, 6.3:1, 7,2:1 or 8.2:1. Want it for the heavier baits I throw, at the moment that's spinnerbaits, jigs, and even some of he bigger plastics I use. Have a MH 6'6" rod I'll paired it with.

Tried it left in the husks, soaked for a few min. then grilled 5 min per side. Tasted like the husks, but there is no need to de silk it as they come off with the husks after it's cooked. I've done it like this and not have it taste like the husk, no idea why it's inconsistent. Without husks, grilled till it shows a bit of grill mark, then turn 90 and repeat, it was a dried out but decent. Unhusked in the microwave worked well without the taste of the husk. Steamed, this is our normal way, it's how my wife likes it so this is what we use, with butter, these days with no salt, darn. What I want to try making is Mexican Street Corn but we never have the right ingredients at the same time as the corn is in season. Sour cream isn't a normal thing we have.

When new I use the point in the slot with the point embedded just enough to not snag weeds. As they get beat up I end up flipping them over and not using the slot for the point.

Stayed in the campground once when the kids were young, real nice area.

I use cast iron pretty much only on the grill or smoker, maybe once a week. Anything fried goes cast iron, that's fried, not grilled. Pizza goes in the pellet smoker in a 12" skillet. Started making artisan bread in a CI Dutch oven.

Of course, trying to remember to open and close the bail was the problem. Kept removing his right hand from the rod when casting, I could picture the setup getting thrown into the water.

My 8 year old grandson did this just last week. He's got an excuse though as it was his 1st time with a spinning reel. He gave up and went back to the spincaster.

I've noticed it takes longer to cook in the winter. Every change of seasons, as in winter to summer or vise versa, takes a couple cooks to get it right again, no matter which grill I use. I do move the gas grill up on the deck, and the kettle to just off the deck for the winter. The closer the better when it's 10 out.

I don't see much difference when comparing a griddle to a gas grill as gas doesn't impart any flavor, unlike wood or charcoal. I have a cast iron griddle I put on the gas grill as often as not, puts on a better sear and is nice for items that fall apart like fish. In my opinion it's not really grilling, it's frying outside, but it works. I get flare ups on the charcoal kettle but not on the Weber gas grill so that's not my reason to use the griddle. I hear from folks that have Blackstones, they all like them.

I grill year round, mostly on the gasser right now but when I want to spend the time I go for the flavor of the Weber Kettle. Unfortunate with the heat this summer I've been opting for the gasser as it's right at the back door, compared to the smoker and the charcoal which is across the yard , meaning I'm out in the heat less. Still, we grill almost evey night. Also have found good pork cuts hard to come by. I try to get fresh but this year previously frozen seems to be the norm. Yesterday there wasn't a single rack of ribs or butt in the store. Steaks and such are just too dang expensive for me to pull the trigger on. We don't eat steak but a couple times a year, when I do get it I go for Prime NY strips, $25 a lb last I looked. Might go indirect after charring the plank. Meatloaf takes a while, won't be much left to the plank if you cook it direct.

How does a full moon effect bass? I'm talking the amount of light as opposed to the moons tidal pull. This am was full, where I could have easily fished most of the night had I thought of it last night but tonight looks clear and little wind so I might try it. Maybe go out at 2am or some such.

I stand in my 10' Bass Raider when I feel like it, and I've stood in an 8'er. I feel safe enough where I could fish although I really just stretch my legs as there are 2 of us in the boat. There are folks that put a fishing platform on the front to fish from, whatever floats your boat. The down side is the weight and the wind.

Falls the best for me, temps and water cool off, better bite, stay in bed later, and all my biggest fish have been in the fall. Between fishing, football, the trees, and no bugs, fall is my favorite season, always has been. The down side is I only have till sometime late October before it's too cold for my hands, and the grand kids are back in school and sports start up so they are not available to go.

I've sharpened saltwater lure hooks as they get beat up on rocks a lot, but never had the need on anything freshwater. Pickerel keep me replacing hooks.

Roughly $300 a year, 6ish month fishing season for me so $50 a month. Maybe a new reel or rod every 2 years so it would double. Is a boat considered tackle?

As a kid I got poison ivy often, usually pretty bad. I still get it now, in my mid 60's, but very mildly. Unfortunately, I now have what I call thin skin. If I get poked at all with a stick of some sort, it's going to bleed, even a dog jumping up does it. Just saw on this am's news, a vaccine for Lyme disease is in final trials. Of course they've had one for pets for years.

I put in quick disconnect like below, I can either disconnect the battery or through the breaker I added in the battery box. Using the just the control arm is an accident waiting to happen.
