Favorite Fluoro
Sunline Sniper (both regular and BMS) has been my favourite so far. Handles great on my baitcasters. I have some Shimano Mastiff coming in today that I'm looking forward to trying.

A sturdier weighted underspin?
Lazyman hooks are very popular for inshore fishing for redfish here in South Louisiana and are very durable. The blades do tend to tarnish easily in saltwater, but haven't heard of any issue when they've been used solely in freshwater.

Other Species Latest Catch Pics Thread
Hadn't been out on my kayak since the start of June due to the heat we've had this summer, but bit the bullet today in pursuit of redfish and flounder. No luck on the flounder, but did find a 21 and 19.5 inch red to bring home for dinner. Had an insane amount of hookups on alligator gar as well.

Good to know, thanks for the heads up. Still an ok sale, but wish places wouldn't do that kind of shady price manipulation. At least it's not as bad as my local Dick's that has Jackhammers for $21-23 ?

Baitcaster with audible drag?
Daiwa Steez A has an audible drag clicker. I find it louder than the Zillion as well.

Didn't check Shimano, but did throw a Megabass rod in the cart earlier for s&g's and it actually worked so imagine Shimano would be the same.

Best high end smooth braid
If you like Smackdown but don't want the grey, there is also a flash green/chartreuse version. I've got spinning reels with both and it's becoming my favourite braid. Handles well and quiet through the guides and roller. Also have Sufix 131 on a couple reels (Shimano Chronarch G and Stradic FL) and really like it too. Handles well on both casting and spinning. Quiet on the casting gear but does have some whine on the spinning gear surprisingly. Really wish Sufix would release it in a high vis colour and not just the moss green, but that's me nitpicking.

What is your sunscreen of choice.?
Banana Boat sport spray on, but don't need to use much as I'm pretty much covered all over. Wide brim hat, long sleeve shirt with buff and hood and long pants. Only need to cover the part of my face from nose up, and the parts of my feet exposed from wearing sandals.

sunline
I haven't used Assassin, but have used Sniper and love it. Spooled 16lb on a Zillion G and Alphas sv tw and had 0 issues with it that weren't caused by my own stupidity. Extremely manageable on the sv reels, and had no need for line conditioner with it on either reel.

I got some either last year or the year before when they did it as a giveaway by signing up with your email. I honestly can't tell what the blemishes are when looking at them. Mine came with split rings but no hooks. Great poppers.

Crappy Imitators
This is based on neighborhood ponds and not lakes, but I've been having a lot of luck with a 1/8oz Owner flashy swimmer with a 3" Keitech swing impact in sight flash in the ponds around our new house that are loaded with white crappie. Tried spinnerbaits, chatterbaits and crankbaits before trying that setup and it's blown them all away in species and numbers caught.

Is that for regular orders or including the pre-order rods? I pre-ordered one at the beginning of August and it said 8-10 weeks for delivery. Contacted them in the middle of October as my wife and I bought a new house so wanted to change address and they said end of October, which was obviously not true. If they're not shipping til mid January I may just cancel it and get something else on Black Friday.

Ultimate 7'6 spinning rod: NRX+ 902 vs Daiwa Steez AGS 7'6 MML "the one"
I've only had 1 trip with my Steez, so can't give a detailed review, and basing this off inshore fishing not bass, but I absolutely love it after that 1 trip and it's quickly become my absolute favourite rod to use. Had no problem keeping speckled trout pinned despite them having a super soft mouth and loving to jump, but also had more than enough power to handle slot redfish and 2-3ft long alligator gar. Used 3-3.5inch soft plastic paddletails on 1/8oz and 1/4 jigheads and it handled those perfectly. Don't have any experience with NRX rods so can't comment there.
