  1. Wow, that’s like 50% off from TW
  2. Daytime along docks, riprap and weeds; white single blade either willow or Colorado with white twin-tail trailer and stinger hook. Nighttime, black all the time unless it really dark, then it’s,,,black with Big Colorado blade.
  3. Awesome stuff!
  4. Congratulations! It brings a smile to hear of someone obtaining waterfront property. Knowing you’re free to fish anytime and having your own place of peace is very special. Enjoy,,,,,,,often
  5. First choice is spinnerbait then backup with a t-rig or 1/8oz jig head worm. Neither one of those work,,,,,, I move on !
  6. I use the Jimmy Huston knot for braid (best knot ever for floro according the Shaw Grigsby) Palomar for mono and Double Uni for leader to braid However I am stepping out of my comfort zone now and tying the Alberto for my leader to braid. It’s been slow and somewhat cumbersome but convinced it’s a better knot but many years of tying the same knots are hard habits to break. Interesting the choices of the Pros
  7. Neoprene reel covers and mesh rod socks The Rod Glove Tried the neoprene rod covers and hated them, heavy and cumbersome and never dry out. I keep my rods, with the covers on in the Pro Locker Rod Case And agree with A-Jay , I use a lure cover too
  8. Like the NRS jackets I wear the Stohlquist specifically the Fisherman I find it’s like wearing a down vest, but not as hot! I prefer it to other styles as it fits well, easy to put on, non constricting and comfortable, so I wear it. The vest type PFD doesn’t require any maintenance and is always ready to go when you are. Also it doesn’t take long to get familiar with it and the pockets are very useful. Whatever you get make sure it’s one you’ll wear, every time, everyday you’re on the water. They may be a bit more expensive but the value is worth the investment.
  9. Yeah thats what I figured. Went ahead and got the rod I was after at the sale price.
  10. Phenix Feather ML casting rod to go with my SLX bfs reel. Got the two piece so I can store it in the Decked drawer in the bed of the truck. Ok, that’s it,,,,,,for now. I’m serious 🧐
  11. I have used Campsaver for camping gear and it is a legitimate store. I’ve never had any issues with them.
  12. Great stuff. I too love the Rod Glove covers, however not a fan of the neoprene one’s. Just seem to be to heavy for me, but a quality product nonetheless. Good to see a “responsible “ company owner. Makes me confident in their products.
  13. This “5 rig” philosophy is exactly how I set up my kit. It covers the 5 rod set ups and the baits I use them for. 1. Spinner blade (blade baits) 1. Frog (top water/walk’n/pop’n) 1. Crankbait (diving shallow/deep/lipless) 1. Jig (drag/hop baits) and #1, alltime greatest 1. Worm (straight/float’n/senko)
  14. 1. Tube 2. Small tube 3. Smaller tube
  15. My truck is called Big BlueDog and my, new to me 13’ canoe, LittlePig………… we call our French bulldog LittleWeiner………
  16. Love ‘em. I’m retired from construction and used them and a ARE topper for tool storage. Sold the topper when I retired as it was too heavy and a pain to get in and out of and really no longer needed. I store road tools (compressor, jack , hand tools… etc) in one side of the Decked Drawers and fishing gear on the other side (tackle sling, waders, net and four set up rigs). I now use a roll back cover for the bed and removable ladder rack to carry the canoe but the drawers are the best (lockable) storage solution I have ever found.
