  1. Incentive Koz There are several AP120’s with trailers on FB for sale. Guy just posted a ‘21 w/trailer and accessories for $3,600.
  2. I vote either a add on motor (Bixby, Newport, Torqeedo) to your existing kayak or go all in with the Old Town AP 120. Neither addresses the movement to storage but makes fishing a lot easier. Either way a truck to slide it into or the Bronco with a trailer. Both modes would allow access ramp loading and unloading making it much easier to get in and out of storage. I’m near 69 and have no issues loading and unloading mine from the cart. Most difficult is putting it on to the t-bone from the ground to load up at the ramp as mine is extra high with a Decked Drawer system, but that’s doable. I built a bed high roller cart to store it on and it’s real easy to put in the truck bed and back out on to the cart for storage. I know you don’t want a truck so the trailer makes the most sense, and you get your new Bronco! A trailer and add-on motor would more cost effective but the AP120 is an awesome package. Don’t give up, just make it easier .
  3. I use several BFS baitcaster set up; Curado SLX reels, 10lb Power Pro braid with a 12 or 8lb fluro leader on 6’ 8” medium light/fast rods. I too prefer baitcasters to spinning but do carry a 6’ 6” light/fast spin rod with same line set up for 1/32 - 1/16 hair jigs.
  4. You have another 25 years to use them then. Time will test any and everything.
  5. No. You can take the unarmed jacket but any type of gas cylinder in not allowed. Considered an explosive device. Take the PFD and buy the cylinder when you get to your destination.
  6. Yeah, I have a degree in fine art, was going to be a high school art teacher. Started painting houses while in college and 38 years later I’m a retired commercial contractor! I paid for the “experience “ of college,,,,,,pffffttttt.
  7. Yeah well with a near $5k yak abuse isn’t optional! I’ve thought about this cart but it seems a “tweener”. No good for road use and additional trips back to the truck to store it. Then there’s the assembly / disassembly every time. So it’s really only useful from the vehicle to the water, then from the water to the vehicle. It does nothing more than a traditional cart can do. If you launched at a super long ramp and long distances from the parking lot every time, towing from the parking lot to the water and back would be useful. Otherwise, I consider it just added hassle.
  8. Ya don’t fish out of it silly, it’s an anchor!
  9. Maybe the motor magnet connection.
  10. AWESOME FIND!
  11. I think the ‘ol dental floss/braided line saw would work fine. I just ordered a sheet of kydex for my autopilot and plan on using “goop”.
  12. Yes it is! I bet he’s played that a few times in the last 50 years.
  13. You get your connectivity issue figured out?
  14. Got the kayak rigged and ready to roll and the bottom drops out, like 34* and snow flurries. Indiana ?
  15. I just pulled the trigger on the Yak Attack Cellblock & Switchblade arm arm with a lock-n-load mount for the Helix 7. Fishing the river as much as a lake it just made sense and because I remove the ff while transporting and it makes it a lot simpler, compact unit.
  16. Just bought a lithium MillerTech 75ah for my OT Autopilot. I was convinced by the ah availability, price and weight,,,20lbs!
  17. I carry a BassX 6’ two piece ML rod with a Curado SLX on it, 10lb braid and 8lb fluro leader. And a 5’4” GLoomis mag-light spinning rod with a Sedona 500 and same line set up. Also carry a sling “creek bag” for small box of lures and plastic’s. ALWAYS in the truck! If I could only carry one rig it would probably be similar to the Berkley Lighting rod and a 750/1000 size series reel like @Mobasser posted. A nice set up without the worry of being abused or mistreated. It helps I have a Decked drawer system with a dedicated drawer for fishing gear, rods, creek bag, waders, creek net and such. It’s like cheating.
  18. I’ve always been a Shimano guy but bought a Diawa BassX from a member here and really liked it sooooooo, just got a new Tatula 6’ 10” MXF Spinning rod for exactly the same thing, river smallies! I too am a sucker for cork handles. However I was dissatisfied with the very small, tiny, hook keeper, almost useless. And was really surprised by the micro guides on it too. However it is a very nice rod.
  19. Have no idea why it “quoted” four times!
  20. I’ve got the same board with the ember (orange) Autopilot 120 ?
  21. This weekend! Fishing Show Hendrix County Fairgrounds Fishing Show
  22. If I don’t use it I dispose of it. I’m not a collector at all!
  23. I would add being covered is a draw for critters, especially mice!
