Kia / Hyundai engine problems, UGH!
People are coming into where I work and stealing the cats. They are off gas powered Chevy/Isuzu cab over trucks. Now they are putting on braided stainless cables surrounding them. When there is no punishment there is no deterrent.

Elites culling fish?
I watched a little bit of and saw them weigh fish. This is a job to them. Just like musicians who make a living doing it can tell by ear pitches. They can tune accordingly by ear. Why can’t an elite eyeball a fish?

BaitFuel Fish Attractant Gel
I use an attractant. As others have said I can’t see it hurting. I think it can help. Now i have had times where I put a fresh dab on, cast back out and hook one. I don’t think it will make or break your day. I do think it will add a few more to you’re total day though.

Tip of the Day - foam lines
We do something similar in the rivers. We call them “foam pockets” this indicates to us where the slack water and Eddie’s are.

Next Gen Forward Facing Sonar
I think they maybe have some camera sonar hybrid type thing. I know I’ll never have this stuff on my boat. I want to disappoint myself the old fashioned way.

There is a creek that borders the property of my work. I’ve fished it and caught some sunnies.

What Did I Do Wrong?
Some days they just don’t eat. It’s good to try to figure it out. Other times it really is that simple.

Puerto Rico bass fishing??
From what I gathered from work there is only one fresh water body of water to fish there. I could be wrong but, I remember someone telling me that. Most of my coworkers are Puerto Rican and visit/have family there.

You Cant Make This Up
Long level gets down right scary and it doesnt take much wind to do it. Anything over 10mph look out. Something with the way the wind funnels through there. I keep my a lock on my hitch and that key is on my boat key ring. I can’t take the boat out of the garage without it. Now if I am going in a trip somewhere I take a spare set.

Want to buy a new rod and need advice
I really love my 7’ medium fast ST. Croix premier. I think the best is subjective to the individual though. What I look for and feel you might think differently about.

Boating safety idea.
I got safety check as I started putting things away in my boat. I had already put away my throwable when they started checking. I got told it should have been out. I didn’t argue but, there was 4-5 kayaks on the launch getting ready to head out. If they were concerned about our safety he would have checked them as they were just heading out. I guess they just figured I’d be the bigger payday.

A lot of people are putting electric motors on kayaks now. Electric is considered power and the laws must be followed as such. Also in PA you can get a BUI on a kayak, tube or paddle board. Most are floating down the creeks here drunker then a skunk.

Boating safety idea.
I do not fish with my jacket on unless conditions are sketchy or at night. You are a lot more likely to fall out of your kayak then I am fall off my boat. Again it could bally though. I think it’s a good over view of general rules of water. a lot of it may not pertain to you specifically. It is still useful information. It also may give you some insight on why boaters do what they do at times. When I am on plane in inches of water. I can’t come off no matter who is near by. It states I need to be at a speed to safely control my vessel going by unpowered vessels. There are asterisks to rules. Pa is like this anything over 25HP and that year or maybe 86 I am not sure. We have a few low head dams in my area that kayaks go over from time to time or get sucked into it. I don’t feel like they know the danger of them. Where a course like this might shed some light on it.

I think it’s anything that came factory with one under a certain length of boat. I am not sure that length but I believe it’s 24’. Life jackets should be mandatory in my opinion. I also believe anyone who wants to be in a kayak should have to go through the same boater safety course.

I fished with a guy who did not wear his killswitch. I said are you going to put that on? He said why I never use it I said on take me back to the ramp. He was dumb founded but, put it on. Also the same guy when loading his boat didn’t hook up the safety strap from his boat eye in the hull to the trailer. He told me he thought it was useless. I am very glad he ended up selling his boat. I have my killswitch connected to my life jacket. Unless I’m trolling, maneuvering around the dock they are both on. I try to be as safe as I know how to be.

High pressure vs Low pressure knots
I use two knots. One to attach to baits and one to attach my leader to main line. What they are called no clue. B lat always said the best knot you can tie is the one you know how to tie.

Feedback suggested concerning advice offered
Some people do use the solution button. I do agree it is nice saying oh yes that worked. Or I took you advice but, tweaked it this way. Either way I do love reading comments to see other peoples view of that topic.

boat porpoising
Did you just get this boat? Did you just recently change something and this started? If you are running lithium ion batteries it may be throwing off the weight distribution. There have been some guys in here that have talked about this.

How would you fish these upcoming conditions?
I know the feeling! I get out when I can even if the conditions aren’t ideal. Either way I hope you have a great time and get on some!
