Rod Manufacturer Warranties
As far as the shimano warranty goes... BPS says its only a 30 day over the counter warranty if you buy from them, otherwise they say send it back to shimano or buy the BPS extended warranty. While other stores have told me they will do it after any amount of time as long as you bought the rod there.

Hello From TN!!!
Welcome from central middle TN
-
What line do you prefer?
Yo-zuri hybrid for most any lure except worms/jigs then its sufix braid w/ or w/o a hybrid leader. It all depends on water clarity.

Strike King's Bitsy Flip Jig
Love 'em and so do the smallies. I use either the strike king 3x tiny chunk or a tiny paca craw. It's a great finesse jig. Cheap too!

UFC 93
X3 92 was awesome all the way around. Of course, there was a terrible storm that came through while I was watching it at a bar and it knocked the satellite out for the final minute of the Forrest Griffin fight.

lure storage?
I keep all my soft plastics in their original packaging, and inside their own plano 3700 box. I have 4 or 5 boxes and each box is seperated into worms, tubes, jig trailers, etc....

Is This True???
I had heard of all but the unlocking the car one. That is awesome, too bad my old truck doesn't have power locks.

Fishing Jokes?
Got this one in an e-mail today actually: He began his day with an 8 lb. walleye on the first cast and a 7 lb. on the second. On the third cast he had just caught his first ever walley over 11 pounds when his cell phone rang. It was a doctor notifying him that his wife had just been in a terrible accident and was in critical condition and in the ICU. The man told the doctor to inform his wife where he was and that he'd be there as soon as possible. As he hung up he realized he was leaving what was shaping up to be his best day ever on the water. He decided to get in a couple of more casts before heading to the hospital. He ended up fishing the rest of the morning, finishing his trip with a stringer like he'd never seen, with 3 walleye over 10 pounds. He was jubilant........then he remembered his wife. Feeling guilty he dashed to the hospital. He saw the doctor in the corridor and asked about his wife's condition. The doctor glared at him and shouted, "You went ahead and finished your fishing trip didn't you?! I hope you're proud of yourself! While you were out for the past four hours enjoying yourself on the pond your wife has been languishing in the ICU!! It's just as well you went ahead and finished because it will be more than likely the last fishing trip you ever take! For the rest of her life she will require round the clock care. And you'll be her care giver forever!" The man was feeling so guilty he broke down and sobbed. The doctor then chuckled and said........"I'm just kidding with ya. She's dead. What'd ya catch?"

Your thoughts on the looks of the New Chronach
I don't particularly like the plain white reel. It's kinda boring. I do like the styling since it looks like the core, which is a sweet reel. If I do buy another chronarch this year it will probably be a 50mg or B before they are all gone.

Wow! Puuuuuurty........
It opens up so you can access the breaks and spool.
-
Shimano Core
My core is also my worm/jig combo, I use braid as my main line. I put a little bit of 8lb hybrid (maybe 10yds) on first then join it to the braid (30#). The small diameter braid really fills the spills up and I have never spooled it on a cast.
-
Wow! Puuuuuurty........
Eh, it's just a heavier version of the core.... :-/
-
Tubes
Thanks everyone. Looks like the jighead is more popular than t-rigging. I guess I need to invest in some jigheads now. Bronzefly, have you been to the Hollow yet?
-
Shimano Core
It's awesome you won't regret it.

Are the Trutungsten swimbaits available in Bassproshop stores?? Nashville?
FYI I was at BPS yesterday and they only had a few of the 4" version. They did however, have plenty of the larger size.
-
Tubes
I want to use more tubes for smallies this year. What is your favorite Tube? Color? t-rig or jighead? What season is the most productive season for tubes?
-
Has anyone tried Fireline Braid?
If it's anything like the original...then I will stick with Sufix.
-
Pin Centrifugal Brake System in Fritts reel
You can also take them completely off if you have a well educated thumb.

Rebel Floater?
I've never used the floater but the Rebel crawdad is a smallmouth killer for me.

Yo-Zuri Hybrid On Sale At BPS
D@mn it! I was at BPS today and bought two 250yd spools for 7.99 because they didn't have any of those. Now I am mad.

Okechobee Tackle Bag
The walmarts around here have a Red Okechobee bag.
-
finese baitcasting reel
If you want a new curado for finesse fishing, you should just step up to the chronarch 50mg, a better reel for the same price as the new curado E.
