Thinking about buying a St.Croix AVS69MLXF spinning rod for grub fishing (1/8 to 3/8 oz.) , drop shot, shaky-head and other finesse fishing for bass, walleye and saueye fishing. Does any of you guys have one of these rods, if so  how do you like it and what all do you use it for.

I think the AVS68MXF is a better choice and a rod I recommend often!

I use the 69mlxf xtreme for exactly what you want to. Love the rod. If you are fishing the 1/8 and 3/16 jig and plastics for walleye the 69mlxf is the best route.

My next rod on my list is the same 69mlxf. I am mainly getting it for fishing walleye, but I see it also doing some time on shakey head, tubes, and swimming grubs for bass.

I have that rod in the Legend Tournament Bass series, and it is perfect for what you are looking for. I use it for those exact applications. It has a very flexible tip, decent backbone but be aware that St Croix's XF is a lot faster than most other rod manufacturers XF. The MXF that RW recommends is a great rod also, but for the lighter, (more finesse applications), I prefer the ML.

I think that'll work very well for you are planning on to use it for. I'm actually going to be getting the same rod just in the LTB series this year just for drop shotting.

It'll suit your purposes just fine, but if you want to throw anything heavier, the medium is the way to go. It will throw those lighter baits okay, but also the heavier ones. That said, I prefer the medium light, when I can get away with it. Saint Croux's MLXF blanks are real special fishing tools.

X2. I have the 6' 10" LTB ML/XF and it does the grub/drop shot thing better than any rod I've ever fished. I prefer the 6' 10" M for shakyheads but as long as you aren't fishing any heavy shakyheads you'll get by alright. It's a great walleye jig rod also and fishes small cranks nicely as well.

I have a 7'6" custom I built in that blank that I really like for live bait fishing....

6'8 M/xf avid for skipping and weightless plastics and a Rage 6'10 mlxf for drop shot. I love both and they serve their purposes great. Problem with me is I don't use spinning gear enough. Im a power junky.
