Luckily most think fishing is only a warm weather activity around here. There are some places that get fished hard in the winter but not too many. This is the place where in the summer its a traffic jamb at the ramp. Love fishing in the fall! Just me, geese, Coots, Cormorants, and weeds.

I had to wait in line to back the boat in at a three wide ramp Monday morning. Still a ton of people fishing here. Seemed like there were 1,000 boats on the river all day.
Super User Team9nine Posted November 14 Super User Share Posted November 14 Always fun when you get the bite dialed in, even if just for a single afternoon. A few of the better fish out of about 20 landed. Still biting crankbaits.

softwateronly
Water was at 56 and found a willing school 2 mornings in a row on a hard bottom channel that swings by a point that moves from 18-25 fow. Had one smash a 7" armor shad on a scrounger in the predawn, but didn't hook up. Followed up with shaking a crush city minnow just off the bottom and practically caught all my fish this way. There were 3 total well over 5lbs and all them were landed on a BFS ish set up, very addictive. scott

softwateronly
@TnRiver46 helps the fishing that I’ve been severely underemployed the last few months and there’s been plenty of days without picture worthy fish! scott 1
thediscochef
Finally broke out of my dinkfest. I hooked a big spotted bass last night, it got away at my feet but that's probably the biggest spot I've seen on my line. I've caught a few 2-3lb fish the last week or so, and as many dinks as I could handle. but nothing that really motivated me to post. This morning I got out late, I'm not adjusting well to the time change. Hit a few spots with the lipless, caught a few dinks. Decided to hit up a rocky shallow with a big boulder pile in it, and got rewarded on a Rapala skitterwalk V with this 5lb bass. That lure has been doing good work for me lately. Underrated for sure. Also been doing work with the orange belly craw and green tomato red eye shads. It's always a treat when you get to see them stalk the bait before they come up and make a scene about it.

Super User BrianMDTX Posted November 17 Super User Share Posted November 17 Another tough day yesterday. On the water from 7:30 to 1:30 and boated two bass. The only bites I got all day. I think that Supermoon played a role. Chilly @ 53° degrees when I started out. Needed a jacket. Warmed into the 70s. Cloudy, slight NNW breeze. Only saw a few bass busting baitfish against the bank. The first one was caught on a 2.8” Keitech paddletail swimbait and the last one on a blackberry Mann’s Jelly Worm Texas rig.
Backroad Angler
Been fishing a lot at the pond outside my apartment recently, here's a couple of bass from this morning! First time using a T rig tube and it produced.
Super User Swamp Girl Posted November 17 Super User Share Posted November 17 I went fishing. It was a nice excuse to walk the pooch in the woods. I cast ten times and caught nothing. I only took one lure, an underspin. It did give me a chance to photograph part of the extended boardwalk, which now reaches all the way to the pond. You can also see the inlet where I dock my canoe.
softwateronly
Got out the last 2 mornings and the bites weren't frequent, but there were some certifiable studs mixed in. November is really starting to solidify as my favorite month to fish. Here's a couple from the best two, one on a bayruf and the other on a rapala minnow, one fast, one slow, one high in the column, one right off the bottom. Water was 54. scott

Now that you've crushed the excuse to walk the pooch......launch the canoe! Ha! I actually fished two more times yesterday. I was driving along a river and remembered I had my rod with the underspin in my car, so I stopped to cast four times twice. Double skunked! That's three times in a row I've been skunked, so I struck out for 2024. Seriously, I could launch my canoe, but the water is really cold. I could catch bass, but I could also tip and die. 1
Super User Team9nine Posted November 19 Super User Share Posted November 19 A really good afternoon on the reservoir, but it could have been great. Caught 2 dozen bass including several better quality fish, but lost one that might have been much bigger than anything I landed right before dark. Played it for 2 or 3 minutes, but it never surfaced. Finally got it near the boat and to the leader knot twice, but never saw it. One last surge and the lure just popped out. Not seeing it was probably a good thing, as I’ll never know for certain what or how big. Sigh…😮💨
