The Japanese monkey got me, and the Bantam hasn't even arrived yet. Sorry for the poor quality picture.

Purchased a few things...

Now that is a nice combo!

I purchased a 6'6" Medium Light Lews Laser SG1 spinning rod. It's my second one. Can't beat it at full retail price of $49.99 but I got it for $35 with coupons and discounts. I love these rods.

Couldn't beat the $20 price cut at DSG, and was looking for another Crankbait rod.

Love to hear what you think of the Scorpion. I went with an MGXtreme to go light, instead of the Scorpion recently. But I have a heavier rod that it would still pair nicely with.

Seeing them spinnerbaits got me thinking bout picking up those war eagles for 40% off at gander outdoors

That rod is screaming for one of those clearance Lew’s Tournament MB reels!

I picked up two Quantum KVD Tour rods, 7'11'' Crankbait MH Mod. and a 7'6'' H X-Fast.  These would probably not be my usual rod purchase but at $60 each, I figured why not.  So far I am pretty impressed with them.  Will see how well they work over time.

My newest diabolical delicacy: Shellcracker G2. It'll get a workout tomorrow night.

Well my rod lineup is finished for quite awhile now.  Brought home a Dobyns Fury flipping stick, and a Fury 734c today!  So now all my casting rods are Dobyns and my reels are Lew's tournament MB's

Me and a buddy bought 4 Dobyns Sierra rods for $38 each and 4 Mitchell spinning reels for $10 each. My local academy had a 75% off clearance sell on any price that ended with a *7cent. I was thrilled to find them.

Which store was it?  Was it advertised in store?

Edit: I found the sale, but it ended yesterday.  Not that it would have mattered, as every clearance ending with 7 was wiped out in the whole store.

That, or the LFS. Didn't think the LFS was aluminum framed.

Tournament MB is aluminum framed

Latest purchases from an online website

(these are amazing swimbaits, but they're kind of expensive)

OSP Dolive Shad 3.5 inch, my favorite swimbait

It is renowned for being a bass killer back in Hong Kong and the demand for them is massive.
They are about 10 USD a pack on most websites

I took it out yesterday and fished for about 5 hours. I used it the majority of the time. Mostly throwing a texas rigged soft plastic with a 3/16 oz weight. I love it, but I wasn't surprised. It's very smooth and pals incredibly well.

That is tying thread for tying flies.  I believe he is using it for tying jigs.

I thought you’d say something like that. I expect to get one sometime down the road. That’ll be for heavier applications for me. When I have the time to get out more, that’s on my list. Been updating things around the house this fall, since I haven’t had the time to put into fishing recently and some of the things around here (not just me) are starting to get old.

Got my first 6th Sense box.  Really happy with the selection.
