Was taking inventory and found I hardly have any medium depth cranks. I have some bandit 300's and SK 3xd's. These are smaller than most cranks. Looking to maybe get some DT10's. What other brands do you like? What are your favorite colors?

Generally I stick to shad patterns but open to suggestion.

Towards the ~10-12ft depth range - my go to is the Norman Deep Little N. 

 

I have such good luck with the inexpensive line of Bill Norman cranks, I haven't really felt the need to look any further.  That said, I guess I don't know what I might be missing....

Once you decide on the 7-12 foot range crankbaits please remember that the line size will dictate how deep the crankbait will run.

The heavier the line the higher in the water column the bait will maneuver.

If you use a very heavy line the crankbait will not stay in the 7-12 foot range and run higher.

So please be as careful when selecting a line test for your deep diving crankbaits as you are about selecting the crankbait, itself.

For the OP: As you can already see, you are going to get a ton of different suggestions. Never used them, but the YoZuri 3DB Baits are all 5 bucks on Tackle Warehouse. Can't be any worse than anything else on the market, especially for that price.

Cool, good to know they catch fish. Especially for only 4 bones at the local Gander Mountain.

I too have had really good luck with the Norman deep little Ns. I have also done well with the crankin rap too, but haven't looked recently to see if they are still making them. I do like to throw DT 16s on 50lb braid at that depth too

SK 5 series:

 

Silent = Gizzard Shad

Rattle = Chart blue back

 

Other baits work but do not produce consistently. This bait outfishes everything I have in that depth range including LC and MB.

7 1/2' range? that is a very odd statement.

Medium divers like Bomber model 6A or 7A, Norman N series, DD 14, Wiggle Warts type divers, all good crank baits at decent price point.

I seem to routinely perform the impossible...  

Just going to try and name a few I haven't seen on here. I've used a few Spro little John and Fat Papa's except I say a few because they are a little pricy. Bagley Diving B1-B2. The new berkley digger and wild thangs look awesome. I just picked up 3 diggers last week in the gilly color and man, they look sweet. Also of course DT's, 3&5 Xds, and other people have said Norman which are awesome. Theres even a few Livingston dive masters in the box when there was a sweet sale at Dicks for 8 bucks a piece. The next on the list to buy are the Arashi deeps. 

 

Forgot colors- Chili Craw, Gilly, Sexy shad, Norman Spring Crawdad(red craw with green and purple flake), Bagley sexy shad (purple, chartreuse, white), Citrus shad. 

 

Btw norman's color list is impressive. 

Bagley Diving Killer B is a good one and the Rapala DT Flat 7, bot of those have the 7' zone covered. The next level you can go with the Spro Little John MD, that will get you to the 8 and mayby 9 foot zone and you can jump to a DT-10 for the 10' area. I haven't used it but the Spro RK Crawler 55 looks like it will cover the entire zone depending on line size, so you may want to look at those as well as the wiggle warts, and the new ones work well so don't over pay for originals.

There are so many . Bill Norman and Bombers got it right a long time ago .
