Here is the picture of the trout I caught in October: 

Got 6 species and dinner. Largemouth, shellcracker, bluegill, white crappie, black crappie, and yellow bass

Still a decent bit of snow around so I decided to do some bank fishing. One of my frequent fishing buddies said he was down to go also, yee haw. Stopped below a main river dam hoping for white bass and maybe walleye. After 45 minutes or so and nothing but a drum, I ask josh if he wants to try another dam. He says “that sounds fine, I haven’t fished right here since the last time me and you did about 17 years ago....” 17.............. geez time flies...............  but I digress. As we are walking back up the stairs to relocate, a fella hooks up with a decent walleye and we start second guessing our decision. Get to dam #2 and the water is off.......... forgot to check TVA, woops. Second guessing even further we start fishing and I remembered a boat trip long ago when a buddy said there were always Muskie up against the dam when the water was off. We start catching white bass once the jigs get down 20 feet, some nice sized ones too. As I’m reeling one in, all of a sudden it feels really slow. The water is chocked full of zebra mussels so it’s quite clear and what do I see: a big long Muskie holding my white bass like a dog bone. Well this joker just swims around with it like that forever, and ever, and ever. I tried throwing some slack so it might swallow it but nothing. I reeled him up pretty close to the bank several times and it would take off but not super fast. Finally I got him up next to my feet and he spit it out like tobacco juice ! What in the world? So I try to “cast” this dead white bass back into the river and it won’t sink. So I unhook it and we walk back to the trucks slightly defeated and a bald eagle swooped down and took the white bass. I also think the bird laughed at me

I haven't fished since before Thanksgiving, but decided it was too pretty today to not be outside. Caught six on a tiny paddletail swimbait, and I'm showing off the smallest and largest here.

first trip of 2021. Let the first few keepers go for good luck, even caught some striper bait for the freezer . Been on vacation in the land of no fishing for a week and I was getting a little twitchy 

I don’t trout fishing but a friend took me out on a local creek with a spinning rod and blue fox spinners. For weeks all I caught was 8-10” browns. All of a sudden the big ones decided to feed. I got 2 16’s and this 18”. 
I’ve finally found something to do in the winter

Browns are a blast. I have to drive 3 hours to catch them, 5 hours to get on them really good but it's some of the most fun I've had and for sure the funnest trout fishing I've done.

Unfortunately I caught it from a toxic creek so he was released 

Not unfortunate for him!?

Caught some perch and bluegill on lunch break, one of the perch sure looked like a rapala husky jerk . First cast was a double (perch/bluegill)

I've become as much of a catfisherman as I am a bass fisherman. Although, not a good one. I have no pictures because I never catch anything. Lol

The curly tail version of those Big Bite Baits plastics in the grey color on a roadrunner jig are a ultralight bass killer!

My first rainbow trout out of my local lake of 2021 caught on a Mepps spinner. She measured out at 16 inches and is now on the grill getting ready for dinner lol.

 

Got me some more copperheads today for my superviser at work.

He’s bringing me some of his collard greens...his are the best Ive ever eaten, including those Ive grown...
