Send them to your work. Bring them home in your truck that night and after she fallls asleep sneak out and bring it into your garage, fishing room…wherever you keep your rods. It works, trust me 😉

Send it to work.  Take a spare reel with line to work.  Come home with reel on rod.  I stopped by to fish for a few after work or I stopped by (insert friend) he wanted to check out my set up because he needs a new one.

Also, got an email this morning from American Legacy that all Poison Adrena rods are 30% off. Sounds like the new model will be debuting soon.  

On the low end budget, ebay has some Abu Garcia Black Max3 baitcast reels new(other) for $33 shipped.

Last night when I checked (been eyeing an MBR rod as I’ve not had one) they showed up 25% off on the page. No email, no banner. Added to cart and applied the elite code and the total before tax was 387. I didn’t wait long, pulled the trigger and went back to check a couple other brands. Went through Dobyns, St. Croix, Falcon, MB, and the only three with the static 25% on both rods and reels was Daiwa, Shimano, and Loomis. 
 

Why they did it on a random Wednesday night I have no idea. Was it a mistake? I’m going to give them a ring after work since the 843 was on back order so I’d like to get an estimate on the wait.

They did the same with dobyns, Shimano and g Loomis on fathers day. All were 20% off with no code just prices adjusted on the website, never sent out emails or posted anything on the site. I picked up a champ xp and slx mgl a, checked the site the next day and all prices were back to normal. I've received the reel, still waiting on dobyns to drop ship the rod alf said they have been super slow since the company was sold.

ALF is wild. I got an expride for $180 listed used but still had the plastic on handle and looked new. Next day they sent me a $50 gift card saying it was a promo that I had no idea about. I’ve bought several “used” items that came with tags or plastic on them.

Sometimes wild in a not good way. Had a used 953 glx in cart last night at $300. Woke up this morning and it's now $400. Snooze you lose I guess

A lot of that is due to returns that had seriously damaged shipping containers.  They can't sell the rod as new anymore (even though it's probably fine) because the shipping container was utterly destroyed on delivery.

It will only work if your email is in the system and you were on the email list.

Darn. Last night the Poison Adrenas were down to $200 a piece! I added two into my cart and took it out because I didn't NEED them. Checked back right now and they back up to $280. Oh should have pulled the trigger. Oh well maybe it's a sign. lol
