If anyone sees any deals on an ultra light spinning rod please let me know.  Thanks!

Amazon has the shimano stimula for 15.00 every day.  That's the rod I use and I love it.  I crappie fish more than I bass fish and this rod is my go-to for every trip

other than that, I think DSG has some rod deals

I dont see an ultra light rod up there and the light rod is $27+.  But I will watch it.

My back is the Okuma Celilo 6'6" ultra light trout rod for ~$25 (graphite composite, cork grips, aluminum oxide guide inserts), but I wanted to make sure there isnt a better rod out there, even if it cost a little bit more.

I'm a sucker for squarebills and this didn't help any..  I've got 11 coming my way now

(in all seriousness, thanks for the heads-up)

Yep - I'm a recovering bait monkey that hasn't been fishing in ~20 years.  My old mid-teenager funded lure collection wasn't extremely robust.  (Lot of Rebel lures that aren't even made anymore).  I just visited my local and grabbed 14 hardbaits for $37.86.  Also picked up a spool of power-pro 30lb braid for $9.99.

Combine that with the rod I finally decided on at LBPhish (wun3hree - Fate Chrome) and I'm calling this a completed purchasing weekend.  Now, getting ready to head to the lake.

Scheels is having a good sale. Simms drypro suit in boulder color is about $450 off. It is discontinued. Also a some St.Croix avid rods for about $150. Some good deals on a couple of lowrance items as well.

Just an FYI it looks like the TW deal has started. I was adding stuff to my cart and it is already showing the 15% off price.

Just scored a daiwa Tatula 7' ML spinning rod for $49.99. This place had a bunch of falcons buccos, duckett ghosts, couple other Tatulas for $49.99.

In fact, you can get more than 25% off, if you're a vet and if you use a gift card you bought for 10% off during the Christmas sale

It is a local chain with stores thru out Maine

River Rock 15% off thru 5/29 with MEMORIALDAY. Over $35 (after discount) is free shipping.

Got an Email from Ebay yesterday: 20% off memorial day sale for outdoor products.  Wasn't sure if that covered fishing reels so I clicked on a link for a reel and the discount loaded up.  Ended up grabbing a $175 3000 series CI4+FB for $140 after the rebate.  I was very tempted to pick up a Stella with this deal but the Ci4 should do everything I need.  I've found a guy there selling top notch reels for the lowest prices I've ever seen.  Catch is only left handed bait casters, and no XG.  I'm literally going to send him a Christmas card this year.

Don't forget to include him as a dependent on your taxes. :unibrow:

I know it isn't super high end gear, but the Kastking Royale Legend reel is on sale on eBay for $35ish. Order 2 and get 10% off from the seller. Apply the eBay 20% and free shipping and it comes out to $27 a reel.  I wanted a couple of reels for my seldom used flipping stick, and a second cranking stick for jerkbaits.

Is this a seller based out of Lithuania by any chance? Really close to pulling the trigger on a reel, seller has good reviews but still a little hesitant.

Yes.  If you buy tell him fatmaple sent you.  Check his reviews the negative feedback is 'seller not gentle' lol.  Guessing he has a short temper.  Reel arrived in 10 days in case you are wondering.  I was expecting to get ripped off TBH but he delivered and the reel was legitimate.  Chronarch MGL.
