Hey thanks.  Doesnt look too bad.  Similar to my default Okuma Celilo UL for the same price.  However, why are the review so crappy.  Not positive.  Serious durability concerns.

Ugh, you're right, those reviews don't look good.  The Sojourns I use are about 4 years old and a generation or two before the current Shimano products.

One clarification - the $10 coupon is for Buy Online and pick up in store, not ship to store.  I ran into this last week.  If your local store (or one you're willing to travel to) has it in stock, you get the discount for in store pickup, but they won't ship the product to a store that doesn't have any on hand. 

DSG has regular size Gantarel's for 20$ at 2 or more.

Ya know I thought me screwing up the order last time was just the universe telling me I didn't need them...

 

Apparently the universe was mistaken because I just ordered two more, with the correct billing address this time. I had a feeling opening this thread today was going to make my bank account a little smaller.

@MassYak85 the "Universe" AKA the bait monkey transferred your Gantarel's from last week right into my mailbox.  I went to order more tonight, and realized the flash sale was over and so the two you mentioned are now headed your way...

I was upset i missed the JR so I had to get the monkey off my back with the regular size.

Went to academy today to grab some floro for leader, and noticed down on the bottom shelf, they had some severely discounted Seaguar Senshi mono in #8 - 200yd roll for $1.98. 

 

I don't own a spinning rig (Yet - might have to wait for the next 20% sale), but at that price, I grabbed a roll anyway.  Might put it on my son's spincaster so he can get some better range on a cast.

Went to Dick's today and they had the Jawbone Hollow Sunfish (as well as all other jawbone lures) for 5 for $10. Usually the sunfish are excluded, but not at my Dick's this time. Figured it couldn't hurt to try for 2 bucks.

A few months back they did their custom "Panic box" for $20 - I took a gamble, and have really liked the quality of their stuff.  I don't do a ton of finesse fishing, so this one really isn't in my wheelhouse.

I've been catching a lot of fish on their sick stick worms wacky rigged. They are durable! I've actually been using them more than sekno's. 

Several Walmart stores have reduced prices on their Powerbait packs to about $2.80 each. 

 

I have had a lot of success with the crazy legs chigger craw so far in 2017, including some of my best days out.

 

There is an ongoing $10 rebate back per 4 packs of Powerbait (link below), so that amounts to a heck of a low net price.  

 

They allow up to 4 submissions.

 

This is an in-store price change only, I don't see it available online but two stores I've been in have had the reduced price.  The packs on sale at my local store were all brand-new, new stock, dated 2017.  This isn't part of the clearance they had earlier in the year as stores were reset.

 

Also, this is separate from the Dick's 4 packs for $10 sale earlier this year, and baits bought at DSG and others are not included.

Nah man that's great. Usually firsts posts are someone new just asking a bunch of questions, rarely do I see information being shared in a first post. 

BPS has free shipping no minimum through tomorrow.

Just popped into the local DSG and what do you know... the DSG Powerbait sale is back on, almost as good as earlier this year.

 

This week it's buy 4 packs at $14 for 4, so if you haven't used the DSG/Powerbait rebate and are looking for a great deal, that works out to $1 each/pack when you buy 4 packs and get the rebate check.
