Bailey *almost* got a woodchuck last night.  Never seen her run so fast.  Luckily, she's very obedient off leash.  When I yelled, "No - Down" hissed a little, she stopped dead, and got down.  Good Girl!

 

In other news, Rage Craws on Jika Punch Rigs are total waste of time.

 We've had some very minor runs in with Mr Porcupine - although he & his friends have set up shop all around my property - they only 'visit' once or twice a month.

Dogs got into one that was 'sleeping on the side of the road' during a run last year while I was in Mexico - sad day for everyone involved.

Also, this is what the Susquehanna Flats looked like the week before the Elite event was supposed to be there...Perfect conditions.  Things changed fast to make that postponement happen.

Cassidee still isn't so sure about the new puppy, but she's starting to warm up to her.

This, is only about an hour from my place. Been burning for several weeks now and over 10000 hectares (2500 acres). We’ve had some rain the last 24 hours or so but I doubt it’s enough to do anything to help. There’s hundreds of firefighters from Canada and Mexico battling it now and it’s only 5km from the trans Canada highway, if it gets much closer they’ll likely close the highway.

How far is this area from Sacremento? I don't think there is any projected rain either. Are the firefighter just trying to redirect the fire to rural areas? I couldn't imagine being able to control massive wildfires.

It’s a LONG way from Sacramento. I’m in Parry Sound On. Pretty much the other side of the continent ?

Went to my parents house Friday night to hang out on the patio for awhile. Dad likes to play his guitar and sing and my wife loves to sing so that's what they were doing. Both Lake and Finn had to make sure Papa was playing right.
