Every other day on the WFN I see guys kissing bass. Why?

 

How many of yall out there are kissing these fish?

 

No wonder the bass are boat shy. 

To each their own but I never have and never will

i only kissed one bass. it was and still is my pb. even my dog licked it

I ain't had one that ever got me THAT excited.  I'm not a bass kisser.

However; I have known quite a few A$$ kissers!

Alright @Glenn  I've watched a lot of your videos and have never seen it but do you secretly kiss bass?

I don't even like eating cooked fish, let alone kissing a live one. 

I can't stand eating fish yet alone kissing one!

I don't imagine anyone would kiss a musky after trying it once

I think there would be more Bass Kissers when its a 6+ lber you catch that just put you in a place to win the Classic or substantial sum of money. But I think if I saw a weekend warrior doing it I would have to fish somewhere else.

Depends if I've been drinking....those big girls start to look pretty good

My daughter didn't mind.  I have a picture of myself kissing one from when I was younger, so she wanted to do it too.

 

 

I think it all started with Jimmy Houston's days on TV, back in the 90's.

I'm more apt to kiss my boat ~ "not that there's anything wrong with that".

Considering the pollution levels of some of the waters I fish (cough, Hudson River, cough) I won't be eating or kissing any fish.

 

I don't recommend kissing bass. You'll get berpes!

Jimmy was kissing bass long before that and he does deserve to be front and center stage for popularizing kissing bass.

I would never kiss a bass....   at least without taking it to a nice restaurant and a movie first! Call me romantic and old fashioned if you want...
