My grandpa on the left and old man Sims . Grandpa use to come and get me before the sun rose and we would sit on the bank of the Mississippi trying for a carp or channel cat . I dont remember ever catching a fish but I remember eating cinnamon rolls .

Check out those old rods/reels!  That's awesome.  I still have some of my grandpa's gear just like that.  Awesome photo!

I don't know if I could ever pick a favorite, but these two are up there.

  • This is probably my favorite fishing picture that I have on my phone. It is from this may when I landed my personal best during a tournament.

This 6 pounder isn't my PB but I caught it about 30 seconds after my Ned-rig-hating friend declared that Ned doesn't produce big fish.  He was at BPS the next day buying Ned rig tackle.

I bet those things were a booger to cast .

This is easily my favorite, great background and my personal best at 7 - 4.

My PB. It was quite unexpected that particular day:

Image may contain: 1 person

This Is a memory I will never forget. Big Nate(grandson) was on fire and his unbridled enthusiasm was a real joy to see/watch.

Image may contain: one or more people, outdoor and nature

That's the kind of stuff I learned on. My grandpa taught me how to throw a baitcaster in the driveway on a fishing rod made of stainless steel. And to think fishing rods weigh ounces today. I have a Silaflex rod from the 40's or 50's that belonged to my grandpa. I believe they were the original fiberglass rods. My mother and grandmother bought it for him as a gift and paid $100 back then.

As far as favorite pics, I have 2. My deceased mentally handicapped brother fishing with some guy wearing a Tennessee hat and the other of my grandfather on Lake of the Woods.

This is an image of my son and daughter float fishing for blue gill.  They're wading about knee deep placing floats along the edge of the foliage a few years ago.  This is one of my favorite fishing related photos ever.

They've both become pretty good anglers better than their old man. My daughter's tactile senses are superb and she's been like that since day one. An ugly stik would be sensitive in her hands.  She'd always say, "I got one!" before I even see the line move and as she instinctively sets the hook, much akin to when Bill Dance hooks into one and smiles toward the camera as he sets the hook.  Hard to believe my daughter turned 18 last month. My son is no slouch either and isn't too far behind with regard to bite detection or natural fish catching abilities. Also, I consider it a huge success when they out-fish me.

Although you can't see their faces, the focus they had was pretty intense on catching 'dem gills, lol.

Another one of my favorites. one of My best friends and I share a birthday so we decided to go out on our birthday and try to shoot some fish. We shot 108 total. 75 pictured. We had my old chevy pictured loaded down so much it was squatting. We estimate around half a ton of fish. Still our best day bowfishing as far as numbers go.

Anytime I get to go see my grandsons and take them fishing is a great time. This is Eli and Payton on Clearlake a couple years ago.

Now this may surprise some of you, but this isn't a picture of me personally, but I love it because these two young ladies took time away from their phones and social media to try and learn to fish! Although, I think the one needs a bit more practice on her overhead cast...

I absolutely love these three:

This one all the credits go to my Mrs who was in the shore waiting for us.

This one was taken by me at the end of a carpfishing session.

And finally this one was probably the most beautiful sunrise that i haver seen in my home lake with the pink sky and mist in the water...

Foggy morning about a month ago.   Had to use GPS to find my spot.   It was a unique experience sitting out there feeling completely separated from everything.   Very peaceful,  and a little eerie.  It stayed like this for about two hours and almost at once, it was gone.

20171110_075442-2241x3984.jpg

Should have taken a pic when the small bass was still on other treble hook.
