YoTone Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Took the kayak out for a quick 2 hour sesh at my local pond. Yeah it was windy, raining and cold but so what? 2 Quote

Also caught one at night on a buzz bait. So Snakeheads are on my bucket list this year - we don't have any *yet* up here in the Poconos. What's a reliable place to target them in Eastern Pa? Quote

Well the only spot I can say is fdr which is where I caught my last one. It's highly pressured but I've caught my share there. You can launch a kayak there as well. South jersey is another area to look at. 1 Quote

oysterk Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 Hitting up Blue Marsh tomorrow, hope to catch some off the rocks on lipless cranks and jigs. If not, I'll try some finesse! Would love to catch my first smallie of the year Quote
YoTone Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 Decided not to take the hour drive to Marsh or the nox and instead fish in places near me that's the size of thier parking lots. I caught this in a small Shallow pond that's less that 1000 ft long and less than 100 ft wide. 2 Quote

I drop it back into the water and i see her swim back and hammer it. Had her thrashing for a second or two then she spits the hook. Im now drinking away the pain. I feel your pain ... these things always seem to happen with big fish ... my dad always said the reason they get big is that THEY'RE LUCKY !! Quote
Bruce424 Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 great day on blue marsh. caught about nine before noon. buzz bait did most of the damage. all fish were above 14 inches i would say. 19 being the biggest. 3 Quote
YoTone Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 Had a few hours to kill so I go to my spot only to see people already there so I take up my buddies offer to do a little bit of trespassing. Quote

That being said, scouted a river I wanna drop a drift boat in. only 50 yards wide and hecka current, but good potential. Also, buddy of mine is headed to blue marsh tomorrow for his first time. Any advice I can give him? Ive never been there myself. Quote

Best advice I can give is fish the main lake and use your electronics 1 Quote
Bruce424 Posted May 10, 2020 Posted May 10, 2020 whats been the only thing working for me lately?? waking up early and fishing the slick water with buzzbaits around cover and rocks. and shallow cranks. i also think blue marsh has been crazy pressured in a short period of time. 1 Quote

Crazy they’re eating a buzz bait already. I wouldn’t even have thought to throw one this early with how the weather has been Quote
