Your best crankbait bait ever? Mine Berkley Pitbull 7.5 Chameleon Pearl and Sexier Shad!

Bandit chartreuse with blue back.

Inexpensive so you can throw them anywhere without the worry of losing it.

And try posting this question in the tackle section of this forum.

KVD 1.5 in Chartreuse/Black and Sexy Shad. Give me a rock or sand bottom and *I won't use anything else* from May to September. April and October are wildcards; depending on the year and how spring and fall play out, they could be included. Only rock and sand bottoms, though. Mostly in rivers.

*Exaggeration, but they're that good.

My go to crankbait in the early 2000's was a Storm sub wart in hot tiger color.  I still use it from time to time when the bite gets tough.

SPRO Little John in Cellmate color

1. Rebel Deep Wee R in naturalized crappie color.

2.  Rapala original Rattling Fat Rap in shad color.

3.Bandit 200 in Louisiana Shad color.

Rapala Glass Shad Rap in Ghost Firetiger.  As a teenager I caught my first noteworthy smallmouth on one.  I have kept one in my tackle box ever since.

Bandit 100 in baby bass

Bomber Square A in red apple craw

I only have 1 left but the old Bagley Balsa Killer B's.  Man, I love those.  Wish I had a few more.

Too many to choose from....

Bandit 100 - Flat or moving water this thing just gets crushed like no other crank I have fished.

LC RC 1.5  copper perch

Crankbaits were called plugs back when I started bass fishing and continue to evolve.

My 1st 30 lb 5 bass limit was at Casitas back in the 60's fishing with my late brother Bob using a combination of black/orange/black and Christmas tree size 300 Bomders. I haven't fished a Bomber in 40 years.

Pure numbers it's hard to beat the Bomber 7A in baby bass color. My favorite is the original Poe Cedar 300 in ghost color followed by Original Norman DD 22's in black/red crawdad.
