A better mousetrap! 

 

We all have favorite lures, but if you are looking for the ultimate swimbait,

the 4" X Zone Swammer might just be the ticket. I rig this lure on a 1/4 ounce

weighted hook.  Let the bait fall to the bottom,  then slow roll ticking the bottom,

but not dragging the floor. When you hit a rock or branch, pop the rig, then let it

fall on slack line.  I especially like fishing stump beds on Pickwick with this

presentation. Smalljaws seem to like the Swammer just as much as green fish!

Great baits but did you mean to link the swammer? ?If not I've never heard of anyone fishing the slammer that way, but it does sound effective!

X Zone is putting out some nice baits these days.  Big fan.  I love the Swammer as a swim jig trailer.

have some swammers havent used them yet, i have been dropshoting the slammers and they are money! also been flipping the adrenaline craw a little bit and like it so far.

They were popping a Swammer for me a few weeks ago, and then popping my line as I think they were stripers and getting me into zebra mussel covered brush. Great little baits and way more durable than a Keitech though. 

What ever happened with these? Everyone ended up back on Keitechs? I have some but... they just sit and I'm thinking about culling them out unless I can figure out when I would use them instead.

What happened is they are no longer a sponsor.

 

I've used them a few times. My problem with the swammer --- the 4" at least -- is the tail doesn't kick well at slow speeds on belly-weighted hook.  It does better on the back of a swimjig.  However, a Keitech --less durable though it may be-- has no such problem.

 

I've tried them and went through a pack pretty quick.  They do catch fish. I had good luck fishing them shallow, running them over grass. I need to pick up some more. 

X Zone has some nice , non-shad colors in the Swammer line up !

I'm a big fan of the swammer as an A rig trailer, or for use on a basic exposed jig head. They have a ton of body roll that works with the slightly more subtle tail kick.

I don't love them on something like a flashy swimmer or keel weighted hook as it seems to mute the rolling action, rage swimmer or keitech fat for that application all day.

Above was just after being mauled by a DD striper a couple weeks back.

I like them on swim jigs in warmer months or in dirtier water.  They kick like a mule.  Not very durable but fish bite em.

I still use them. This little guy has saved the day for me on more than one occasion.

 

All size Swammers are amazing baits.

I’ve done well with them 

I like them as trailers for swimjigs, spinnerbaits, and bladed jigs. They don't swim as well as a Keitech at slower speeds, but they kick hard moving a little faster as a trailer. They seem to be a little more durable also, which is a bonus for a trailer.
