A DRT Klash 9 knock off (it’s actually a model in between the K9 and TK) in rainbow trout for a guy out in WA state.  I’ll get the eyes and clearcoat done tomorrow.

This is awesome. I wouldn’t even know where to begin.

Thanks Steve. It’s easier than you think. Also, when one of your “hobbies” is trying to find the end of the internet AND YouTube, you pick up tricks along the way…

I have a bfs set up coming in the mail, and figured id try my hand at jika/free rigs. Alot of places are sold out so, I figured id try my hand at making some and im pretty satisfied with the outcome. I clipped the barrel off some snap swivels and used a small split ring to connect them. I'll update once weather warms up and I can test them out.

Looking for the biggest bass in the lake? I painted a couple of these.

They’re 12” long and weigh 12 ounces. Not for the timid

Hair and living rubber jig I am working on. I still suck at tying hair jigs and need to find my small weedguards.

Munkin, looks great. If you think you stink at making hair jigs, you havent seen my "attempts".

What jighead did you put that on?

Shooting star.jpgIt's a 3/16oz football head. Original was a discontinued Hayabusa tungsten head I made a mold of. The Hayabusa heads are crazy expensive if you can find them( $15 for 3).

@Munkin , that's really nice. I bought a Ukranian finesse football head mold, but it's hit or miss.

Do you have any pics of what it pours?

I will get some when I get home, tomorrow at the latest. The biggest issue is that Bugmolds doesn't say which hooks to use and I am stubborn enough to only want owner/gamakatsus-otherwise I will buy some off some other guy.

I really think I need to get my dremel out and go to town. Football mold

I have one of their lead molds and it doesn't pour the collars very well.

I dont have any pics, but I've made a good amount of wooden glides, cranks, and jerkbaits. All the cranks run straight, and the glides have a nice chopping action. The glides are the same profile as a Storm Arashi swimbait, which turns out well for me. I'll probably be making some more this spring for post-spawn when tired females are going after big meals.

Doing some mag shakyheads for guys who are into that kind of thing. Centering pin screwlock with a 7/0 EWG hook. Shown rigged with a full sized brush hog, my favorite bait to fish on them. Sometimes I'll tie a skirt on them also for a little extra bulk.

Does it run like a bladed jig does?

Finesse 3/16 football jig in PB & J. Swim jig in 3/8 for a size comparison.

I would say it's more of a finesse bait than a spinnerbait or bladed jig. Doesn’t have the vibration of a bladed jig or flash of a spinnerbait. Feels like a spinnerbait with a really small blade coming through the water.

Been on a serious spinnerbait kick lately. Seems to usually happen this time of year.

Thanks, I don't even own a standard sized spinnerbait mold but I modified another mold to pour spinnerbaits with and it works really well.

They look amazing. How do you like the rubber skirts on them? I’ve only ever tied silicone for spinnerbaits ?
