Jerkbaits and tubes . Why do I not use them more often ?

They have saved my butt many times but I rarely use them . What about you ? What lures do you not use enough  and  you know thats a mistake that needs correcting ?

Squarebills. Can't think of another one. They are not a numbers bait for me but every time I throw one, it seems like I get an above average fish on it.

Frogs (sacrilege here in FL). I only threw a frog one day last year, will need to correct that this summer.

T rigged worm.

Not sure there's a bait I don't 'use enough'.

I will admit that I wish I used the net more though . . .

Drop shot.  Can't stand how slow and boring it tends to be

Flukes, once the vegetation starts growing and throwing a hard jerkbait becomes more difficult I really want to spend a lot of time with a fluke tied on. I know they are one of the best bass baits out there and I have 10+ packs of them but I rarely throw them for some reason.

T rig worm for sure. They work anywhere that I fish and I RARELY throw them because I feel everyone else does throw them and I want to stand out and be different.

I'm also guilty of rarely throwing a T-rigged worm....seems like I always go for the beaver (no pun intended).  Flukes also, even though I used to fish the sluggo all the time.  Swim jigs...don't even own one.  Paddletails.

Today my choices are limited to what I like to use with 1 small tackle bag with a 1/2 dozen hard lures.

Never tried a Ned rig and may sometime this year, used dart jigs instead for decades.

i'll go with jerkbaits/swimbaits(soft) . think i threw them once in over 100 times out fishing this past season.

Drop shotting feels like slow death to me even when at times it's the only thing I should be doing. Throwing a wacky rig is pure joy in comparison. I'm really going to try to get over it this season.

I’ll go along with the jerkbait also. I’ll fish them the way they are intended to be used, but I manage more fish using it as a crankbait sometimes.

Tubes, grubs finesse worms they are all the same to me. I fish them all basically the same way in the same places. They are a big part of my fishing.

Probably the buzz bait. I should do it more often. Has gotten me a few nice green fish and brown bass. I don’t fish big heavy versions of buzzbaits. Smaller Strike Kings with a Zoom Curly Tail Trailer.

Jerkbaits, I flat out suck with them, even though I know they work

Buzzbaits for me. I’ve used them in the past and had fantastic days, especially in the fall for largemouth in pad filled bays. Just haven’t thrown one in a while now. Maybe this year I’ll dedicate a rod to a buzzer, and try to toss it more when the conditions look decent for one.
