That was one of the most entertaining games I've ever had the pleasure of watching. I was on the edge of my seat rooting for the Vols and can't imagine the rollercoaster of emotions diehard lifelong Vol fans had to be experiencing.

One guy called into a post game show and said he puked then cried hahah. I think I can show you what those emotions looked like if I can link a video.

That was his incentive to make sure his QB or RB wouldn’t get tackled at the line. ?

Another fun fact: Tennessee scored more points against Alabama than anyone since sewanee in 1907

That aught seven Sewanee team had a fearsome offense.  :D

They truly did, though. Outscored SIAA opponents 250-29.

I don't remember that season :D but I'm very aware of the great history of Sewanee football.   They were in the SEC when it was founded in 1932 and dropped out in 1940.

Pretty sure it was before our time, now consigned to the annals of Wikipedia.

That was also the second season in which the forward pass was a legal play.

All offense, no defense. The biggest surprise was Saban's decision to leave so much

time in the game towards the end. To rely on your defense in a game like this was

ridiculous.

Bryce Young reminds me a lot of Patrick Mahomes. Dude will be playing on Sunday and I hope

he plays in Denver!

Alabama left time on the clock because they didn't make that 3rd down (3rd and 10 I think) during their last drive.  Tennesse making those two big yardage plays to get within field goal range was massive.  I enjoyed watching the fans storm the field and tear down the posts.  Monumental win/game.
