Now you got me singing "Sweet Baby James"!!! Love it! I play guitar for fun and JT is one of my favorites!

Thanks, it’s from John Winters Osprey plans, 20+ years ago. It’s still my favorite canoe, as is the pond.

Great job on that canoe! Its a work of art. I agree with Katie's assessment of BLISS! Extremely rewarding to get to use a labor of love doing what you love!

I have several. One on my five disk workout selection. One in my stairstep CD selection, and two more in reserve just in case. PM me your address and I'll send you a new one. It will make you feel young again!

Thanks Bob but I don’t even have a functioning CD player anymore! Ironically we either do digital or vinyl now. I really appreciate it! I think I had greatest hits and hourglass

@Blue Raider BobAnother tune of his I really like is something like “oh boatman, i am the river”

Tennessee River. I don't mind a bit if it rains!

Man, Bob, you fish in style. Knowing how your hard work allows you to accomplish pert near everything, I suggest that you build a Tiki Bar on a deck off the side of your boat.

This is an older photo. The umbrella in the photo now resides at the bottom of the Cumberland river. I was fishing just below Old Hickory Dam last year when a surprisingly strong wind came up and snapped my metal umbrella pole. The umbrella fell in the water with the current trying to take it away. I was pulling on the pole and the current was pulling on the umbrella. The current was winning as I was being pulled overboard so I finally gave up and let go!

I have a new triple canopy umbrella that is 15' long! I stay completely out of the rain and sun, (unless the wind is blowing), so I can fish when I want to. The new umbrella has a stout pole put I do bring it in when the wind blows. Not sure how the Tiki bar will affect boat performance but I'm always willing to consider new ideas. My friends laugh at my rig but when the August sun is frying their brains, I'm the one smiling then!

Shoot, I don’t mind either but all my hooks do……… you need the umbrella (aka lightning rod) over the tackle

There is something very satisfying about this pic haha. The only real reason I do not like fishing in the rain is the carpet in my boat. Live learn then get a not carpeted boat haha.

Those pictures scream "Total solitude"! Or maybe these picture "Whisper total solitude". That may be more fitting. I think the only scream you will hear there is a loon, or me and Alex, if you take us along! What a beautiful place. We sure get to visit some of natures finest as we chase them ol'e brown bass.

Indeed.  Loons, rarely ever another boat or fisherman around in a few of my spots.  And some very good fishing, at times.  I went into last year lamenting the fact I only had a canoe.  Then I realized what I had and leveraged it to access spots the bass boats can’t.  As a result, 2022 was a great season for me. ?

I thought so too, @Blue Raider Bob. However, since @cheezyridr looks just like Lurch and he approaches pond owners for permission to fish, I'm wondering how that goes.
