I have a heavy Daiwa Aird X for flipping and frogs. I need a rod to do everything else. I want to stay below 100, but could bump it up to 120 if I have to.

It probably wouldn’t hurt to continue in this airdx line and get the whatever length you want with MH power. 

To me an all-around rod is a MH/F rod. Now that isn't gonna be ideal for most treble hook baits tho.

 

If you like Daiwa and want an upgrade you could get the Tatula for $120 with sales right now (reg. $150).

I'm not a huge brand loyal guy. Anything that works.

Another option in the same price-group - Okuma Reflexions...I have two of those and they're good rods as well.

You should be able to find the Tatula rods for close to 120 right now. If not then I hear good things about the new Tatula XT rods as well for 80 bucks with the TW Black Friday sale

I decided to get a couple phenix feathers, one a little under $130 and the other a little over $130.  I've heard good things from others on this forum, but these will be my first time handling them.  I'm hoping for the best.

I have the 7’-3” heavy and am ordering the 7’-0” medium plus due to the soft tip with a great backbone making the lineup very versatile imho. I also have a EVX-B 7’-2” fast and I feel the same way with that rod, under priced for what you are purchasing ?

Haven’t used the Bass X but the Fury is a great rod for the money. The 734c is probably the most versatile bass rod out there. It says “heavy” on it but a Dobyns heavy is what other manufacturers would call a MH

7’0” Medium Heavy KVD rod. Hard to beat at their price range. I have many of them.

If so, go with a Heavy Fury (704 or 734.  It’s more like a MH.

I have the Tatula 7'3" MH/F "All Around" casting rod and it is my favorite casting rod. If they are truly selling for $120, you won't regret owning and fishing with it.

Outstanding value at full price. No brainer with the BOGO sale.

Lews MACH.   Item number MAPC.  It's $89 at Academy.  7 foot medium action, medium taper.  I don't use many rods but this is my most used one.   I've cast everything from a weightless worm to a 3/4 ounce spinnerbait with it.

Yes, I had it, but everyone told me that it was more of a medium. I really liked it but it felt strained at 3/8-3/4 oz lures. I want one that I can stick in the trunk and use when I need to go a little far.
