I really thought Gussy's lead would be bigger. Lester isn't so far behind.

John Cox in 4th cranking muddy water again, that’s what he did in 2021 here also.   Different creek this time but same pattern, I think he got 3rd in that one

Here’s fellow BR member @BigSkyBasser with a striper during the 2019 classic where Hackney was fishing yesterday. I don’t think any competitors tried it that year 

Obviously I enjoy the heck out it when they come to my home pond, but dang it sounds like the fishing is tough as shoe leather. Makes me feel better about my measly results haha

Anyone know what’s up with mullins?

That is some seriously tough sledding. I would likely catch no legal bass if pros are coming in with two after a whole day.

It’s always tough but I did forget to mention they have had to release lots and lots of 3 lb smallmouth , can’t box one unless it’s 18” +

 

drew Benton just had to do that, the fish would have put him close to the lead 

I hope this is the last classic for a really long time that is won by SMs.  

 

Yesterday for a brief window it was exciting with the LGM bite.   

 

They really need these on big Bass factories, watching SMs, and 2-3fish limits sucks, there I said it ?

Palanuik said he ran to the top of tellico and caught a 40 lb striper a 10 lb rainbow 3 lb brown trout and a 17” smallmouth he had to release . Wow hahaha
