I understand a bass mostly will see just the bottom in matted vegetation and some of the sides of a hollow body frog in open pockets . So far , I have frogs (standard and popping) in : Black , Bluegill and Shad colors . Now looking to add either Yellow (Swamp Frog) or Green (Leopard Frog) to the line up - here is the Pad Crasher versions of Yellow & Green colors : https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Booyah_Pad_Crasher_Frogs/descpage-BYPC.html . Both the Swamp Frog and Leopard Frog colors are white on the bottom , is there a determining factor in going with either yellow or green other than you may be able to see yellow better on top of thick mats ? 

I don't think the colors matter that much. I buy frogs that look like the frogs where I'm fishing. When the mats are thicker, I use a larger frog (Pad Crashers are fine).

i dont like the booyah frog.  i cant seem to walk them that well.  

 

i have three colors only.  white, black, and a realistic color one.  i suck with all three.  but i use the black one early morning and switch to white when the sun is out..the green one..mixed in.  my green one is a Bobby's perfect frog.  way easier to walk.  

Booyahs are my favorite frog and if I could only have 2 colors it would be Cricket Frog and Sunburn. Don't know what it is about those 2, but they're fish catching machines for me. 

I just stick to light colored bottoms and dark colored bottoms. I fret less about frog colors than any other bait. I feel simple light or dark covers my bases.

Same here

I have seen a couple videos lately where two great frog fisherman (I think it was Roumbanis and Rojas) both said white frogs produce bigger fish.  I might have to test that this summer if the frog finally gets going again this year.  Last year topwater stunk.  
I usually throw black, white, and then mess with other colors when I feel frisky.

Dark on dark days and white on bright days. Course, I haven’t been on a decent frog or topwater bite in years now either so take that with a grain of salt.

If fishing mats I'm throwing a black frog 99.9999% of the time. 

Some suggest having at least one frog with a yellow top so you can see it better against mats or in low light ... Since I have no yellow frogs at all I'll give it a try .

My experience is a bit different and I believe color absolutely matters.

 

Identical SCUM trophy frogs, only difference was mine was Chartreuse and my fathers was natural black/green (white/green bottom). He couldnt buy a hit if he won the lottery while I hammered them, same technique.

 

At this point I only fish Chartreuse in any condition but want to try a black one for some of the daybreak conditions.

I usually go with black, white or natural colors. I will say that the Popping Perch by Strike King in Warmouth color has caught me more bass than ever before.

 

Yellow or white and black bottom works for me. The top really hasn't made a difference and my favorite is the terminator frogs in both their popping and walking varieties.  I did pick up some Toad Thumpers though and their action is good but the frog bite hasn't really picked up here as of yet

 

For frogs, I use a dark bottom on dark days, and a light bottom on bright days.  The top of the frog is a color that contrasts with the cover I am fishing, just because it is easier for me to see. The fish only see the shape and the bottom color.

I primarily use white or yellow  bottom frogs,With Green top  and black spots…I fish only low light conditions or night. Can’t say my results have been stellar, but I did get a 7.3 on a yellow bottom pad crasher jr, on 4th of July in the first hour of dailight…

The only frog color I've ever used is white bottom with a green pattern on top. 

I have for frogs, one like leopard frog(green/yellow), One black, One white and one Glow in the dark clear frog(clear buddy with some dots). Of course I use each color for specific condition and time. I can give you details if you are want to. Also I have cup mouth and walking style on few of those colors of course.

As said by many others here, I keep my frog colors very simple….white bottom or black bottom. Black bottom for low light conditions and white for more light conditions. Top color really doesn’t matter to me

I have two colors, black, black belly and greenish with orange/ yellow belly. I have a few of the hollow bodied too but don’t use them much. The BPS humpin toad seems to work real good for me. They sink super slow, so you can work it like a topwater after you get out of the pads heading back to the boat.
