Larry Potterfield will thank you for the business.

  • I have ordered from them several times, and it’s always been great. Their shipping times have been impressive every time.   I have no issues recommending them.

When it comes to pellets, there’s a pellet gorilla

They've been flawless with my fishing orders. Fast notifications and very fast shipping. Rods, reels, baits, whatever, and rods are shipped in tubes. My only complaint is that I'm afraid to open their tickle emails. There are usually great deals found when I go through the pages that are too painful to pass up.

It's already been thoroughly answered, but I'll toss in another vote of confidence.  Have used MidwayUSA for decades for shooting gear and over the past year or two have also ordered a ton of fishing gear from them - lures, rod, HDS Pro, Active Target 2, etc...  They're great, frequent sales and you get 1 order within I think a week of your birth date where they give you special pricing on everything.  I try to take advantage of that each year too.

Nothing negative to say about them. Like many here I've spent an embarrassing amount of money on their gun items well before they started getting into fishing.

One thing to keep in mind is double check the items you buy. Some are great prices, others you can easily find for a better price elsewhere.

When you combine a stackable 10% off fishing,  on top of some great sale prices, it gets my bait monkey raging.  I've yet to have a bad experience with them.

I remember them from 25 years ago.  I think they were only gun parts and reloading at the time.

@ol'crickety I recently purchased a Daiwa B&G open box special that someone on this site pointed me to. There’s not a mark on either the box or the reel.

Midway is a winner, buy with confidence.

It's a shame that the Internet makes it so easy to besmirch someone's reputation. And when you leave a one-star review without justification, it's there forever. I've seen people leave one-star reviews for restaurants simply because the restaurants were busy and couldn't seat them. Well, duh! They're busy because their food is great, but still, that whiner's one-star is eternal.

You've always got to look beyond the stars. Like you said, their actual reviews often show the people giving the review are complete idiots or not even human.

Just had this conversation with my sister-in-law about reviews on her Dyson docking station. You've gotta learn how to "read" the kooks.

Edited because I didn’t read that a couple folks made the same joke several posts before me.

I find they have the best prices on plastics and I've ordered a ton from them the past few years. I generally load up my cart there first then only fallback to TWH for anything Midway doesn't carry.

@RipHair

That's pretty much what I do.  It seems like they are always having sales discounts on stuff that I like and use.

They're legit. I bought a reel from them a couple of months ago, and accidentally bought a left handed one. I realized it a few hours later, and called customer service. The reel had already shipped, but they sent the correct reel before I received the original order. Super easy to deal with.

Just recieved a 7ft ML spinning rebellion open box at 50% off. The rod is new, I can't find anything indicating any flaws, I was initially worried about the open box, but from my experience this open box stuff is a good deal.

Ironically enough I've been buying from them since about 2008 IIrc, and yet I've never ordered a fishing product from them.

Same here.

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but their website has been incredibly glitchy for me lately. I used to buy everything shooting/hunting related from them, but their website has become almost unusable due to crashes, glitches, freezing, etc.

Am I the only one? It's a great company and it's a shame not to be able to use them lately.

On any amount? They have free shipping if you spend $75.

It used to be free shipping regardless of the amount. That changed a long time ago.
