Woke up to another 3-4” and it’s still coming down pretty good. It’s supposed to stop around noon then lake effect every day for the next week. The thing with lake effect, it does what it wants. They can predict an inch and we get six or they predict six inches and we get an inch so it’s a wait and see. 

@12poundbass, that happens with river effect too 😂. They rarely predict anything correctly with snow. Christmas 2020 flurries/dusting turned into 8”

At least it's not like our blizzard of '91

First they predicted 2"-4"

Then it went to 5"-9"

Then it was 12"-15"

Then they finally said "We don't know when it'll stop."

We ended up with 28" in the Twin Cities.

Oh meteorologists ....what a ridiculous job. The only job where you an be wrong 100% of the time and that's perfectly acceptable. Ok we are gonna get 4-6, oh we already have over  6 ok well then it'll be 6-12....oh now its over 12.....well lets say up to 18......oh it stopped at 15, see I said it would be less than 18. What a joke. That's like betting on a football game after its been played....you can't change your predictions after it happens and say your right.

We've discussed this at length on this forum many times lol.  Its criminal what they do on a daily basis.  Only job I know of that lies more than a politician.

 

A few days ago they said a couple inches here, then 2-4, then 4-8.  We ended up with nothing.  Just admit that it's mostly a guess and I'd be more willing to accept when they're wrong.

Just had a crazy squall roll through. Dumped about 3 unexpected inches in an hour. Intense wind, total whiteout conditions. 

No snow here in the south, but it has been cold-cold-cold! Night time and morning temperatures have been in the 20's and we'll be down into the teens later this week.

 

We had a lot of wind and rain last week and Lake Sinclair went from being clear to dark chocolate milk. Water visibility is now less than an inch or two. To make matters worse I've also been sick for the better part of a week now.

I went to college in Erie, PA and at one time lived in Maine. Plus, my family is BC and Ontario,

 

I know cold. That's why I'm now here in the south 😀

 

And when I go fishing later this week my lures won't bounce 🤣🤣🤣

We’ve got a decent bit of snow on the ground and it’s still falling . Looks like I won’t have to work much today, ladders and snow don’t mix

Being cold is a mindset. You only get cold because your brain says so. Your body will still function perfectly fine in colder temps. I walk around bare handed when it’s 30 degrees outside.

Our pug was doing the frozen paw dance this morning.

 

Squeaky snow and beams of light projecting upward….those of us up north know what I’m saying. 

I think it may have finally stopped snowing, we might have a foot
