The new toy is finally getting a good workout around here. Cleared about 14” this morning before work, and when I got home there’s another 10” ready to blow again. Still more squalls coming all this e

  • Must be a grizzly scene there today.  Full on panic mode.

Well ice augers aren’t available here…… 😂

I’ve walked to the gas station twice this week and rode to ace hardware with my wife but it was closed. Shoveled the driveway and all the cars, might attempt escape later today. She is picking up a friend and going to a Pilates class to avoid stir craziness, our 10” of snow hasn’t melted whatsoever and they only plow the interstates and highways. We can get out but everything is closed 😂 Tuesday the DOT was recommending only travel in emergencies but I think they have backed off that

I have some catfish bait buried under the snow in a bucket but I’m guessing my line would just freeze

Day 3 of the icestorm.

A big sheet of plastic wrap blew into my yard today. Without even thinking about it, I stepped out to get it.  As soon as my feet hit the cement porch, my feet were whipped out from under me and BAM! I fell backwards and slammed my head on the concrete.

I was dazed for awhile, but now, several hours later, I'm just sore all over my back and I have a minor headache.  Hopefully that and my ego, are the only things that got damaged.

Yikes man, thats scary. Last week I was helping my neighbor push his wife's car out of a drift in our street. Walked over, squatted down to push then bang right on my @#$. Luckily I just bruised my hip, coulda been much worse.

You didn't ask but I'd call your Dr. and get an opinion.

I went to the store Wednesday morning around 10 AM.   It was 22 degrees, up from the low overnight of 3 degrees.  I passed a boat ramp and there were three trucks/trailer in the parking lot.  I passed another ramp yesterday and someone had launched and broken a thin layer of ice.  You could see the path they made through the ice as they left the ramp area.  Clearly, there are some who are more committed to the sport than I am. 😐

We had about 4" of snow here. I had to get the snow blower out. Cleaned my driveway and sidewalks and the driveway and sidewalks for my next door neighbors that  are in there mid 80s to mid 90s. Also cleaned the sidewalks for three other neighbors.

Supposed to get down close to 0* tonight and -5* tomorrow night.

You guys are getting our kind of weather - though the snow keeps skipping us...got a dusting last night that didn't even cover all the windshield of the truck.

We may thaw out by easter!

Since that comes early this year - maybe Beltane?

Nothing has melted and we got a little more snow today, single digit lows this weekend. We may thaw out by easter!

My truck bed is full of snow! 😳

There are several inches of snow on the road! 😳

It’s below freezing for more than two hours! 😳

I vote we re-name it the MASON SISSY LINE! 😂

2 hours??? Been a week ! Haha. Sorry we normally like to go to work and do stuff down here…….  This stuck at home business is for the birds

I’m just busting your chops. 5 or so months of snow, cold, and grey skies does get old and takes its toll on a person. There’s a reason so much alcohol is consumed in the northern states! 😂

I couldn’t do it!

You can get use to it - first year Nora was up here, she would occasionally whine "I wanna go home". Now she says she wouldn't go back.

She was raised in SE Florida - Boca Raton/Ft Lauderdale area.

I did find a new hobby, reading the posts from people on the neighborhood app who haven’t gotten mail or trash pickup in a week 😂

Big fish Jeff in Memphis hasn't had water in a week.  Dishes and poopies are really piling up.

😬
