I'm taking a chance on it being the real thing.

You do realize that you need to provide a spool and the handle assembly, right?

You might as well just buy the JDM Zillion TW HD that is all blacked out like that and comes complete.....for not a whole lot more than that frame.

Yes I do.  I want to bling this one up a bit though with some stuff I already have.

I don't have that but I have these custom plates on mine and it looks awesome.

I could live with that.

When I bought my Zillion, I sold the Boost spool that came in it on this forum.

I already had my Steez spool in a can to back-up both.

I like those!  I'm doing blue accents on this one.  Knobs, nut plate, drag star, Zero adjust.  Gotta find a matching blue spool.

The new Zillion platform, though very smooth, never appeals to me in the sense of looks. It's just plain-looking IMO, no matter the finish. The OG Zillion on the other hand...

Anything special about the one the OP linked besides color??

Nope, just the color, and the fact I already have the handle, knobs, and spool.

It’s heavy

According to Daiwa's website, it's an in-between of regular Zillion and Zillion HD - it uses the HD's body, but the gears are aluminum. The bearings are all CRBB same as the HD's, and the bearing count is one more than the HD's (not counting the handle bearings).

Heavy duty that is 😎

Seriously for a 200 sized reel I can't imagine a more robust workhorse of a reel that's on the market.   Brass gears, big handle, large knobs add to the weight......but equally to the amazing power of this reel.

I just don't like the blacked out finish, others love it though.   Zillion SV TW body is perfection imho.

It's a really good platform for blue trim

There are a couple of Steez upgrades in SLPW Zillion - in the clutch, and LW is full-BB, while Zillion SVTW LW has a mix of BB and bushings.

Of course Steez gains you magnesium frame, but I only have one rod where the (one oz) weight difference in Steez and Zillion is notable.

I took a look at this reel and started to add the cost up of what I wanted to add to it and bought a Steez. It was cheaper.  It does look like it would be fun to trick out.

I'll bet you guys dollars to donuts, on any rod over 4 ounces, you can't tell the difference in 1 ounce of reel weight.

and if the rod balances well, you can't tell the difference with 3 ounces more reel
