How do you say it, and why are you saying it wrong?

LOL, this has to be one of my biggest pet peeves when listening to boat reviews, sales people, or anyone talking about their boat.

Pic for attention, the KON-suhl of a Sportsman Masters 267, because I want one.

I say con as in conman then sole like the bottom of my shoe.   That said, Yankees have the right to say it wrong if they like and I respect that. 😁

Can't say I've ever heard a single person pronounce it incorrectly.

And you're in prime mispronunciation territory.  Watch a couple boat reviews, and you will hear it.

Fishing industry mispronunciations - Like pronouncing it KamaGatsu - reversing the G and K is done a lot too.. Or Sinko vs. Senko… many other malaprops in fishing… lol

I should have clarified, I was referring to in person pronunciation.  Not on video.

Regardless, most around here refer to them as a "tiller" or "wheel" boat.  Tiller boats outnumber wheel boats here by a fair margin because walleye is king.

A tiller is what most bass heads should buy when looking at anything under 18'.  The layout makes more sense.  I loved my 17' tiller.

^ I could have gone console when building Bass Trek, but decided on a tiller to give me a bit more room. I have no complaints about it.

I’ve never run across that but many times daily I notice people using then when it should be than and there for their.  Maybe elementary school should be 12-14 years.

Writing for Yamamoto and being edited by a professional doesn’t let me get away with any writing errors and I’ve learned over the years.  My biggest cringe….

I have my boat for sell….Instead of….

I have my boat for sale.

I watch the used drums and percussion market like a hawk, and "symbols for sell" is about as common as "Diawa."
