The 2 I posted are in this picture on the same day in December. I was fishing solo so couldn’t hold them all up so I found a guy at the ramp to take a picture of the two 10’s.i had to quickly lay these hawgs on the deck and released them back into the lake. Water temperature was 49 that day and the big largemouth were ganging up gorging on Shad in the pockets.i think everyone else was deer hunting that day. I caught over 25 keepers and the smallest was 4 pounds.doubt I ever have that kind of day again but thankful for that one fine day

I just found this in an old thread:

I do remember catching 18 DD bass in a hour or so back in 1991, that is by far my best day.

The only DD I could post is my foot in one of those bass sandals.

That counts!

I think.

This is my first one -  10.2# on a chartreuse double willow spinnerbait, with 3" chartreuse silver flake grub trailer.

My mentor's 10.5#.  One of many he caught in VA. Let a guy drive your boat for an afternoon...

Of course, the 10.2# I posted was caught from the backseat of his boat.

The only picture I have of my very skinny DD I caught my first trip to Mexico. The fish was so long our guide said it would probably have been a 13-14 pound fish if it hadn't been so skinny.

I know that's not Misery Bay!

@fishballer06 That was Happy Bay, only a few minutes from the launch.

It looks like the records here in MN are 8lbs 15oz for a Large Mouth and 8 lbs for a Small Mouth - so I would have to travel well south to hook in to a 10+ pound bass........

I am working on catching my first 5 lb bass (I caught a LM that was 19.5 inches yet I just have a measuring board not a scale, I am looking in to getting a scale for this coming summer season)

Pretty awesome to see the pictures people have posted !

A 19.5" bass would have to be reeeeaaaal skinny to be under four pounds. I think it's pretty safe to change your PB to 4-5 lbs.

I would have to post a picture of my wife to participate in this post, and I doubt that's appropriate. 😬

No hope of catching a 10 up here, but "someday" I'll go south.  Heck, if I went south and caught a couple 6's I'd be thrilled!

Just duct tape two three-pounders together and call it a six-pounder. That's what I do.

"That's six pounds of bass that I just caught," I'll say, and it's absolutely true.

12 lbs 14 oz

I have a video clip, but I haven't been able to resize it, so a screen grab it is.

Those were the days my friend,

We thought they'd never end.
