do you dress like a fisherperson?

I dress like a bum, clothes from thrift stores.

I've never been " a sharped dressed man ". 😁

Thankfully the fish don't audition.

This is me grocery shopping.  I actually carry a 2.5lb bass with me anytime I'm in public.  Just as a conversation starter.

    I have probably 30 of the Tackle Warehouse tee shirts that you get for free with a large order. So I wear one just about all the time except when I'm at church. I do change if I go to a tackle store;

I dress like my idea of a fisherman, old ratty clothes that I don’t care if a fish or 2 bounce off them, mostly old hiking stuff that dries fast.

I see I’m not alone.

I do own a few St Croix T’s.

I usually wear Colombia, or the Walmart or Bass Pro knock off……. I get them from thrift store or yard sales.

I didn’t know TW gave out shirts, how much do ya have to spend….. All I get is a sticker! Dang.

I guess my style of dress could be more considered "Tacticool". I'm a bit of one of those paranoid prepper types so I dress accordingly.😂

I lm generally in jeans or shorts and a t shirt. Work pants when I fish before work. A hoody sweater in the fall. Can’t fish here in winter. So I’d say probably not honestly. I have a ton of branded shirts. And pants from kayak fishing and living in Florida. Now that I’m in Iowa I just wear a long sleeve shirt and sun hat when the suns bad

What do you mean you can't fish in Iowa in the Winter? LOL

Ice fishing my man! haha

You could say I wear a lot of fishing clothing, but it has a real purpose and I wear it while fishing, if I am not fishing though it's typically some Levi pants and a Carhartt t-shirt with a pocket in the chest...

I wear the Simms "Buzz Off" light weight hoodies a lot, they actually work. I spend a lot of time on rivers in the middle of nowhere, into the twilight hours so have a wardrobe of sorts of clothing treated with that Insect Shield stuff has been a worthwhile investment. I don't wear it for anything but fishing though... By the time you buy "cheaper" clothing and send it in to be treated, it's the same price to just buy the Simms stuff that is already treated, so I bite the bullet and pay the premium cost...

I wear a Simms hat too, but that is mostly due to the fact I have a giant melon with a very tall crown and finding hats other than cheap foam truckers that fit my head properly, is tough. So a couple years back I found this one particular Simms hat that fit my head perfectly and bought a couple of them LOL

I knew someone would say that! It just doesn’t interest me lol. Maybe one year I’ll try it

I look like a fisherman only when I'm fishing.

Otherwise it's dress clothes for me M-F.

For the most part I have Fridays off in the summer so that's nice.  :)

I have a few branded hats and shirts, and some with fishing jokes or references printed on them.  But I don't dress consistently with any particular "look".

Jeans and t-shirts and/or buttonups. Not necessarily angler gear, but no one is surprised to find out I fish. Lol

My wardrobe is pretty much jeans, Tshirt-alot of them from tackle warehouse or Cabelas, flannel or hoodie or button up fishing shirt if needed plus almost always a hat and polarized sunglasses. Either a folder clipped inside my front pocket or a fixed blade clipped on my belt. So yes I do indeed dress like a fisherman.

I wear my normal clothes all the time. T shirt, jeans, boots. I wear either flannel shirt or a hoodie (camo or hunter orange) when it's cold.

I generally don't wear branded stuff, though I occasionally wear a KROIL hat instead of my cowboy hat. I don't wear a hat in summer normally. Need to get me a straw cowboy hat.

Now that the statute of limitations has run out on charges from the now-defunct Hair Police, I am free to reveal what @gim has playing on repeat in his truck:

  • 2 weeks later...

I wear the oldest crudiest regular clothing I own, with the exception of one "fishing hoodie" I wear when it's extremely hot out.

I only own two "fisherman person" items . . . both are Megabass hats that I wear a lot.  Not sure if that qualifies or not.  I wear shorts year 'round (even in freezing temps), t-shirts, and hoodies.  I only own one pair of jeans.

I would have to answer yes to this question. My ward rope consists of mainly Columbia Sportwear PFG caps, shirts, pants, shorts, and shoes for everyday wear.

Only when I'm fishing. I'm a suit and tie guy at work. But with my new hotels still under construction, I'm on site in a pair of jeans and a dress shirt. Actually, that's usually my weekend casual wear as well.

My girlfriend tells me I'm too old to wear sneakers, so a few pairs of Rockports are my casual footwear.

Blasphemy - you're never too old for sneakers.

Top half - yes...one of my fishing hats, either the Bonny or one of the ball-caps (Bass Resource MN that I got from Frydog, Bassmaster or St Croix) and one of my fishing shirts - one of the UPF-50 button downs or one of the UPF-50 long-sleeve T's from Columbia or HUK.

Bottom half - cargo pants always...I burn too easily to wear shorts...and either sneakers or mesh sandals.

Last time I wore a tie and sport-coat was my last day at Cargill back in 2001...haven't worn a tie since...mostly cargo pants and polo shirts with Chukka boots when I want to 'dress up' or cargo pants and t-shirts with sneakers when I'm dressed down.
