Like others have mentioned, I rarely eat on the water anymore as it’s usually a 4 to 6 hour trip. When I do, it’s something I can eat easily on the move. Peanut butter crackers, cheese crackers, an apple or maybe pop tarts………stuff like that. Wash it down with water, Gatorade or a Power Ade. Usually I eat something on the way home and just hydrate while on the water.

After a couple hours I need a sugar boost, unless I'm drinking a coke while fishing.

Coffee and water. Copious amounts of water. If it's a long trip, I'll eat before and after.

I never take food with me.  It’s 03:00 now.  I’ll be leaving at 04:00 to go to Beaver Lake in NW AR smallmouth fishing.  I will eat a big breakfast before I leave and take a cup of coffee with me for the hour and a half drive as well as a bottle of water.  After all I am going fishing not to a picnic.

Fresh fruit, Bolthouse Hi-Protein drinks, Gatoraid.

Yup, I even have a video about that too!

It seems as if you have a video about EVERYTHING. What about brushing teeth? Just throwing a wild one out there…

I tend to go gremlin mode when I'm out and forget to even drink water, but having a bottle on deck is a non negotiable for me. Sometimes if I know I'm going to get exceptionally hungry I will bring a pack of jerky, but I will usually just eat after I'm done. There's nothing like eating finger food while smelling like fish slime.

Protein bars and peanuts for the salt. However, I'm working harder than a lot of you because I'm a paddler.

I eat a bowl of oatmeal before launching, but by eightish, my tank is empty.

^Protein and salt^ Makes me wonder if GreenTrout is a paddler too.

There is only 1 to have! Tender steak pieces in teriyaki flavor.

Avoid cheezits! They will have you hanging over the rails!

I eat breakfast before every outing.

On the boat:

32 oz water

Trail mix

Banana

Protein bar.

I’m diabetic so I absolutely have to have something in my tackle bag.

Paddling around for a decent amount of time can get me low.

I have some hard candies to suck on if I need them.

Otherwise I just throw a granola bar or some peanut butter pretzels in a bag.

To me, something to eat is more important than a life jacket.

Coffee and water is a given. Maybe a turkey sammich or cold pizza. Granola bars sometimes. And always a bacon egg and cheese from the gas station on the way.

Fruit chews, granola bars, maybe a snack size bag of chips, several propel waters and a diet soda. Sometimes I eat, other times I don't. I always drink the waters, it's too hot out. I normally drink the soda on the way home.

homemade sourdough with cheese and slice of ham.  I eat it fairly early, so it doesnt go bad. apple, good to go.  I dont need much.   I dont eat sugar if I can help it, so no sweets at all.

on the shore I eat a hot breakfast out of a insulated food cup.

Interesting replies. I hadn't thought about jerky.

There has been times I fished (bank) for 4-6 hours and started feeling poorly because I needed to eat something, I'm a bit hypoglycemic. So I always keep a snack with me, and that helps.
