New Plano pro latch

Featured Replies

Academy has all the plano pro latch boxes on clearance . Saw TW has several pro latch boxes for 30% off, along with new boxes that appear to be the replacements. Old thin 3700 (3701) is $5.49 right niw at Academy...new model is $14.99. I grabbed 20 old ones, lol...along with several others.

That’s a great deal. I need a couple boxes, but not enough to make it worth an order though. I wish we had an academy around here.

Def a deal, but those new models look nice.

TW has them on clearance too

My local Walmart was closing them out too; Plano must have a major makeover in the works.

Major makeover, and I'm all for it. $12.99 for the old style 3700 box is too much. New model looks nicer/more durable.

I have some of both. I like the old boxes better. That’s just me tho. I’ll have to hunt for some on closeout.

But I totally agree for what they cost not on sale. It’s to much. The new ones do seem more durable.

Picked up a couple of the new 3600's out of curiosity. Liked them but was disappointed they didn't come with nearly enough dividers to use all the slots (comes with the amount to basically skip every other slot).

It's been variable with Plano....some boxes have always had a dearth of dividers, others had a huge surplus. And of course they don't offer additional dividers for sale...which would make sense.

...or just because Pure Fishing now owns them

I think Plano wanted their standard box to be a noticeable step up from store brands/knockoffs. I just wish Plano would keep these old boxes in the lineup- at under $10.

I bought some of the new 3700, like that it has the rustrictor built in but it’s not as deep as the standard/old 3700’s so you can’t fit as many baits stacked up. Little bit annoying compared to the older boxes.

The new boxes are not the same size either. But they do sell packs of dividers if you need them.

Thank you! I have a 3500 and 3600. And I could use more dividers.

The narrower width than most other 3700s is what ended up steering me away from them. Great redesign outside of that, though.

Ended up getting a deal on a bunch of the blue H2OX 3700 boxes on clearance at Academy for like 3 bucks each so I grabbed like 15 when I reorganized my tackle.

When you're buying extra dividers, ensure you get the dividers specific to the size of your box (e.g. 3700 vs 3600). They are NOT the same, and they are NOT interchangeable!

You can buy the dividers on the plano site

Really like the new style. I've been using one of the 3600 size boxes for my terminal tackle in my kayak box for at least a year now. No issues with even the smallest hooks migrating, the single latch is easy to use and secure, and the dividers seem much more secure than the older style.

True. But they're $4.49 each for the 3600 plus $9.99 shipping. The 3600's were $8.99 and a 20 pack of dividers would cost $14.80... unfortunately better off just buying a second box for its dividers if you're wanting to use all the slots for small terminal tackle (my original intent).

I got a few more of these and after messing around with organization I realized once you place the dividers they are very hard to remove. I guess that could be a good thing or a bad thing depending how often you change up your boxes. One of the boxes came broken so I had to return for a new one. Plastic was cracked by the latch that opens and closes the box - hope it’s not a design flaw.

The dividers should slide in and out with no problems. When you separated them, did you leave little nubs on the edges that catch? I take a sharp knife and run it down the edges to knock off the nubs.

The dividers on this new box aren’t connected like on the old Plano boxes so there are no nubs
