  1. Germany really missed Müller yesterday. They just coudn't get the counter-attack going like they had against England and Argentina. Özil not having his best game didn't help either...
  2. I would be willing to bet that the rods Skeet uses are not the same rods that are sold to the public. Several pros fish rods that are wrapped to look like their signature series rods, but are different.
  3. If you want a true ultralight, go with a 500 size reel. I don't have many line management issues at all with mine, just make sure the line isn't too slack when you flip the bail.
  4. I like the Sammy better. It seems to get more bites, and I get better hook-ups with it since it sits lower in the water while walking.

I would put my money on Ike to win it. They should also have a night when the hosts run the courses.

156 boats competed this year, the entry fee was a minimum $2500, and $4000 to be eligible for all possible prize money.
  7. It is definitely not a Cottonmouth/Water Moccasin. They are only native to Southern Illinois:
  8. Unless you are 5 years old or only fish 2-3 times per year, avoid Shakespeare rods and reels.
  9. The Scorpion 1500XT is the JDM equivalent to the Curado 200E, and the 1000XT is equivalent to a 100 size Curado, which will probably be released at ICAST.
  10. Daiwa Steez 103HA / Dobyns DX703C / 12 Lb. Seaguar InvizX
  11. I don't believe anyone has stated that the Cumulus is 3 times better than the Vendetta. There is a point of diminishing return in every line of products. Some believe it is worth it to pay for the increased performance that comes from a high-end product, even if it doesn't provide the same amount of performance per dollar as a value product. Others don't think it is. This is how arguments like this one begin. Is the Vendetta a better value than the Cumulus? Probably. But is the Cumulus is a superior rod overall (to an unbiased individual)? Obviously.
  12. TT.comSo as you can see at least in the lab the Vendetta was tested at a $300 price point. This doesn't make sense. You can test two products that are in completely different price ranges on the same machinery, but that doesn't mean that the cheaper product is tested with the same preconceived notions as the more expensive one.
  13. I'm rooting for the Lakers since I can't stand the Celtics.
  14. That is the magnetic brake. That is the drag. And that is the spool tension knob. Here is some good advice on setting up a baitcaster: http://www../education/baitcaster-setup-101.html Good Luck.
  15. I think the Argentines will win it this year.
  16. Try using the search function. This topic has been discussed several times recently. 8-)
  17. Lucky Craft Gunfish 95
  18. Agreed. Fishing shows don't have much of a chance against soccer matches as far as ratings go.
  19. Another disappointment from Daiwa USA IMO.....

    Grass Carp.
  21. A Kastmaster is one of the most common trout lures. You have to look at it from the warden's prospective. Imagine how many people who don't have a trout stamp tell him "I wasn't fishing for trout" when they really were. If you are going to fish trout lures in waters with trout, you should probably have a trout stamp, even if you aren't fishing for them.
  22. The taser was completely unnecessary. Paul Blart realized he wasn't going to be able to keep up with the young guy, so he popped him in the back with 50,000 volts to prevent being embarrassed. I'm usually all for the use of tasers, but this was irrational.
  23. Try using a search, they've been discussed before. Several of the comments that I've read from people who have handled them said they were heavy.
