I love me some spinnerbait fishing, or more accurately, weather conditions that (in my experience) makes for good spinnerbait fishing. Although a great looking bait is nice, i don't think it's necessary. I know because i "assemble" my own. ? Unpainted heads, factory paint jobs with or without 3d eyes, it doesn't matter much to me, they all work. I'm gonna get some of Munkin's hidden weight baits in a few months and work on them before next season. I can't wait.

Double gold willows (3.5, 4.5), white skirt with a little color on the back (top), 1/4 oz. frame head and i add a 1/8 oz weight on the shank, 1/0 trailer hook, and no (soft plastic) trailer. Head painted white or shad. Of course a quality ball bearing swivel. Natural, clear lakes 1000 acres or less.

A 60 degree hook and lead shaped like a worm weight and you have a Slider spider jig i was talking about allen. But those would work for my needs. I like the gap behind the lead being long to really pin the bait. ?

I have 2-2500 and1-3000 presidents in my boat, all about 5 yrs. old. I have no issues other than the handle's chrome is peeling and looking bad. I have a sahara 2000 that has not been used much since new. The reel stem on that thing is too short and the bail hits my knuckles on retrieve. It stays in the garage. I will go with Daiwa next time.

Forgetting to take off that salty trailer is worse than than messing up a skirt, you can't fix rusty hooks.

I tried pulling a floating rapala 3' behind a Dan Gapen 1oz. bait walker one day, never got a bite or tried it again.

Went to their site yesterday and saw that they're adding 2 new smaller boats next year. A conventional 17.5', and a throw-back to early 70's "cathedral" or tri-hull design. The tri-hull reminds me of a fancy version of my dad's 14' Ted Williams (sears) fiberglass tiller boat with a 7.5 hp Ted W. outboard. It was a simple boat that we had alot of fun in....

Stats, to me, is not the deciding factor in any "best" argument. As jbsooner compared sanders / smith says more than "most - whatevers" in any reasonable thinking person's mind. Jim Brown was fun to watch because he just ran over everybody. Gale and Walter were fun because of their gazelle - type moves. But Barry was the most fun to watch. Yes he didn't have the o line of Dallas, but i don't think they would have helped as much as everyone thinks. All the lions o line could do is stay in front of the defender and let Barry pick his way thru. Otherwise, he would have been just another back "hitting a hole". I was at every home game Barry played, and to this day, thinking of the :BAR-EEE chants send chills on my neck. Your opinions may differ... oh, and just kidding Sam...

Bite Me Sam. I remember i was 13 watching that game at my buds house. We couldn't believe it. Last sunday absolutely sucks,but i don't expect the Lions to win more (if) 4 games this year, and thats ok. Look out for the Lions in 2024. I can wait, i've waited for 64 years already. Espn needs to do a 30 for 30 show on the history of the Detroit Lions. People would think it's fiction.
