  1. I caught my first pike (4"!) on a mepps 0 agaila in 1970. Beat that.
  2. Allen is giving up secrets to everyone.
  3. Just read on another site about 2 teens/1 father missing from a high school bass tourney on Pickwick LK. Boat was found. No word about the three. Say a prayer for all affected.
  4. He said must- haves Allen. ?
  5. Nichols Pulsator.
  6. If that is the one shaw was talking about, those have been around since at least the 70's.They came in 2 sizes and in stainless or galvanized steel. (as far as I know)
  7. I have an uncontrollable urge.....
  8. Move. It's your state. Just kidding of course...
  9. Jig man has got most of 'em. I would add white and chartreuse willows for smallmouth.
  10. If the fish looks at both sides of the bait, he probabally won't eat it, but not because of your paint job.
  11. Not a fan of the hook/lead wrap idea. Suspend dots / strips are nice, but a cheaper lead alternative is from a golf shop. Lead adhesive tape 1/2 "x 50' roll with for about $7. I also use it to "close" an r-bend spinnerbait and tweak a few ul cranks with it.
  12. Those harbor frt. magnet strips are great. I have 2 mounted on my console. 1 on the side holds pliers, scissors, forceps, and the other is on the front which holds my plastic bin that contains scent, markers, wacky tool.
  13. I am surprised that so many are left out. Tom Mann (worming with his spinning gear), Challenge Match Fishing,Billy Westmoreland (bass magnet cranks), I know there is more. I watched them all.
  14. In Michigan, you are not (legally) able to put anything in the water (brushpiles, xmas trees, whatever). Some people do break the law i'm sure.

slonezp..your avatar is #1 in my book.
  16. Only if you are above the equator...
  17. Ideally- 2 rods would be best imo. 6'8-10" m for short range, and 7' - 7'6" mh for long distance. Unfortunately, I have neither. ?
  18. Watched a vid on the utube where this guy turned this boat to a center consoled, 3 o/b motor work of art. He thought of everything and it looked like it could have come from the factory that way. It was interesting to me anyways...
  19. I only catch 20 - 30 pike a year, so I don't bother with a leader. Only lost 4 hardbaits in 45 years.
  20. Spring: 3" - 4" any shape (minnow, worm, leech, craw, lizard), nose hooked. Rest of year: 3" - 7" any shape, 1/0 - 3/0 ewg.
  21. I put reel grips on all my reels..i like how they feel.
  22. Just wait and make a big order, you will prob. use it eventually.
  23. Main line to swivel. Weight can't get past the swivel, and no "keepers" needed.
