When I bought my boat ('96 deep v ) I bought the cover made for the boat. ($450) and it held up for 15 or so years. Now I just buy cheap plastic tarps. I use only 1 during the fishing season, but winter with 2. My wife bought a nice looking cover off ebay a few years back - looked and fit good, but only lasted 1 season. Looked at Lowe, g3, etc. for a good one that would fit my boat, but $500+ aint gonna happen. So it's cheap plastic tarps for me ($28) and buy a new one every other year...

Put newspaper down over the ice, then catch your fish, bop them on the head, (to kill), then throw them in. This will prevent freezer burn and stop ( whatever the term is called) that "soils" the meat while struggling to stay alive.

I first heard the term "fairy wand" came from bassmaster magazines' Harry & Charlie comic. I see saltwater folks catching 80# fish all the time...

What kind of reel in your mind is new technology? Just curious....

I would fish pond #1 first. Much shallower / warmer...fish SHOULD be more active. Fish them both a few times and remember your results for next early spring.

All of the extra casting distance of the t wing design gets eaten up by the line scraping that bar. Dumb design if you ask me....

Executive Order from our governor yesterday says NO BOATS WITH A GAS MOTOR can be on a body of water, even if you don't use them, you will be fined $1000 . Canoes, kayaks, and sailboats okay. It's changing daily, so take your "legal" craft out now while you still can.

Mine is the chug bug. Pop R is a close second. Even a couple no - brands I have are good. Never tried a Popmax, Rico, Splashits, or really any poppers currently produced. I don't need any more,so I aint buying. I have 1 Heddon (spittin image) and I Rapala (whatever) that if you want them, drive by and i'll throw it at you...?

Yeah- small and deep equals cold water for awhile. Sunday's lake (1000 acres) maybe 20' max for a small section, most of the lake is less than 8'.
