  1. Let me start out saying that all the lakes i fish have clear water. A 4" chart. shad Kinami Flash is my favorite "senko" bait, no matter what the weather or season. I'll buy off - brand in a similar color for weighted wacky, but t-rigs must be Kinami or GYCB. I'll buy white senkos and color the top with a chartruese marker when i run out of flashs .(?) Funny how i don't like chartruese in hardbaits though....
  2. Fishing since 1963 (@6 yrs. old) and bass fishing since 1969. I still get geeked on my way to a lake.
  3. Many thanks to all for the replies. I'll go back out and try to figure out what you said. (sometimes i'm a moron) Should i tape the new rope to the end of the old and pull it thru to tie the knot, or am i still off-base and not understanding you? Be forwarned, i may pm one of you to get more details. Sorry and thank you...mark
  4. You can download and play with it on your computer. I liked mine the first year i owned it, then 2 months into it's second year it puked. Hope you have better luck with yours....
  5. I broke my rope yesterday and i can't figure out how to replace it. I have searched for a how-to and cannot find anything. PLEASE help me if you can...
  6. I re-floored & carpeted my boat this spring. I used 3/4" douglas fir (a/c), and Cabelas' 16 oz. carpet, and their latex glue. I first treated the wood with a 2 yr. waterproof sealer from Olympic. Although the glue didn't work very good on the alum. lids, it did stick well on the wood. Good luck and buy more than you think you need.....
  7. No. I wish all soccer was pay per veiw.
  8. There are rubber worms?
  9. I'm holding out for this fall's new 2 speed reels. 10 bearings. 2 speeds. 4.7 / 9.4 ratio can be changed during retrieve. 24 or 48" per turn. 125 yds. 12# mono. 9.3 oz.
  10. Self-explanatory. Just wanted to represent the fine folks in the beautiful state of Michigan. And i typed it in and it worked. And yes, i do live in the city...
  11. I use the freezer ziplocks for storage at home. They are thicker and have a write-on surface, and come in various sizes.

Sorry for losing your lil' buddy Lynn and A-Jay. I guess it helps that you have other dogs, but i really wouldn't know. We got our pal in january of the year we got married, 15 yrs. ago. Jake is still getting around good, but i know his time is coming. It will kill us. Thanks Glen for sharing that with us, it helped me anyways.
  13. Burley- it doesn't matter what line one uses for dropshotting...it's gonna mess-up. I used to use mono and got more bites, but would have to "troll line" twice on a 6 hr. trip. Last year i went with braid/swivel/mono and had less line twist, but less fish also. I feel your pain...
  14. Lets not lose our heads about the lions trading Megatron. Never happen. The same with a 180' turnaround. But- with the trades and the draft, they are going to be ALOT better. Our secondary will not have to cover recievers for 10 seconds every play. Yes, they are still many players away from making a stink, (o-line and LB's ) but i haven't been this excited for the season to start in quite a few years. I can't believe this will be my 30th year with season tickets. 1 home play-off win. SHEEEESH!
  15. Great advice. Put more on regularly, even though you have never tried it. Excellent.
  16. Get the biggest wind anchor (drift sock) that you can find. Clip it to your bow-eye, which keeps your bow facing the wind, and it can slow you down enough to fish relatively effective. It's kept me from going home more times than i can remember....
  17. My rod locker only holds 7 combos, and only 2 will be baitcasters. I carry a 6'6"ul-4#mono (until june), 2- 6'6"m 6&8#mono,7'ml-6#mono (dropshot),7'm-8#mono,7'm-braid (jig/worm). All the lakes i fish are clear, and i'm sure my arsenal would change quite a bit if they weren't. Later.....
  18. It is a little embarrassing (?) that there isn't a national show hosted by a woman or women. I like ms. Savic on NAFC, but really haven't seen any others. I'd watch it. (the bass don't know who's on the other end of the line...)
  19. I saw those too, C/L, but i only saw the rattlebait in the under-water veiw. I was watching my 5 yr. old neice and didn't get to watch as closely as i wanted. The hooks were on swivels? Anyways..the Capt. said he's seen them before..i'll have to go to his link. Later......
  20. Maybe they had to start giving them away after their lame skeet commercial....
  21. Good one Speedbead! All i fish is clear water, so i'm a little partial to overcast skies, air and water in the high 60's to lower 70's, slight breeze, a wednesday (off work), and the fish hitting everything. That would do it. Thanks. Geez..that's still 3 months away. Oh crap.
  22. Thanks blackrain for the reply. I guess it sux no matter how a rod gets broken. Those darn cleats will probabally get me someday...
  23. I'm kinda curious as to how you broke a dropshot rod!
