  2. Yep. I live in Ohio so not a lot of DD bass around here either, but I did catch a lot of 3-5 lbers this year on multiple hollow belly swimbaits, but my most productive might have been the berkley ones that you linked to. Caleb
  3. Sorry, if my information was a little off :-[. (I fish in a lot of tourneys where 35-60 mile runs are very common)
  4. agree, cave run is where its at. i think the state record was caught there this november by a young lady?
  5. Welcome and Merry Christmas!
  6. There should be fish spawning, and prespawn. If targeting spawning fish hit up SALT SPRINGS, its in between Lake George and Kerr. It should not be that far of a run. Lake George has other good spots trying researching them, i'm not to familiar with it. I'm also told that down past Astor you start getting thick grass mats you can flip, and if you get in the right area it can be game on. This is about all the help i can be, hopefully it helps a little. Also Salt Springs is hard to get into at times. Really shallow flat in front of it to get in, just trim up the motor and go slow. Lastly, research and pay close attention to manatee zones and speed limits, they will ticket you. Caleb
  7. Truly awesome fish. Maybe in 09 you could get a few hog smallies in there.
  8. Citica E! This should get interesting.
  9. I just started fishing the OBFN last year. we usually draw 60-70 boats. Good guys for the most part. Low entry fees are friendly to the wallet.

  11. StrikeKing, Yep thats the lake I'm talking about. I don't fish it often at all, but its close so I'll go if I only have a couple hours. Never caught any pigs, but have had 10-15 fish days.

  13. Eastwood by Childrens Hospital, its always like 4-5 degrees warmer water because they use it as cooling lake for something around there, it was sunny and everything, but the ranger said the word to open the ramps had to come from the higher up big guys so i went to Fisherman headquarters and got some skirts to make some jigs.
  14. I hear u strike king. its blown like know other here in the dayton area. Lakes still are not frozen yet, but soon. I tried to go out Friday but hey had all the ramps closed, because possible ice, I even saw the ranger and they said they could not open the ramps even though there was no ice on them.

  16. I grew up creek fishing for smallies and inline spinners are the real deal, which gets my vote, but theres nothing like having big smallies bust a spook on the top.
  17. I'm Caleb from Ohio, but I fish Tanner's, Turtle, Bryant's ect. creeks along the river a lot throughout the year. I know a lot of people don't like the River but I feel oddly at home there.
  18. You probably have already thought of this but... The OBFN got one built for basically free from a company that agreed to sponsor us, so maybe try finding some king of general contractor or metal shop around your area.
